What is your favorite flower?
Hmmmm... I love a Shasta Daisy the colors are so beautiful, but I also love to see a field of blooming poppy.

How did you meet your husband?
Well let's see. A firend of mine asked me to go see a band play in a town about an hour away. She had a crush on the sax player. I didin't really want to because I was getting out of a 10 year relationship and just kinda sad. But I went and we danced our you know what's off. At the break she introduced me to the sax player. I had heard his name because we both taugh in the same county but at different schools (small county only 3 schools so you at least had heard of about everyone). I didn't think much of it being with a heavy heart. THe next weekend I went to a dinner party and sax player was there. We both were instantly playing with all the kids. WE talked all night. I then dreamed that I had his name tattooed and the base of my back and I Was so peaceful and happy. The next day I called him to go hiking but it went right into his voicemail. Turns out he was calling me at the exact same time to see if I wanted to go to a movie. We each left messages. THe rest is you know.... 7 months later I asked him to marry me as we were hiking in the Alps in Italy! My firend got over it. I love him, can you tell?

If you could travel any where, where would you go?

Wow, that is difficult so many places. I would like to go to India and parts of Africa. I have not yet been to South America. I think that will be our next travel.

What's the biggest question you have in regards to this pregnancy?
I guess how will the labor be. I was 22 hours with the first. I just want to know I can do it again. Having a babe is so strange and powerful. To me it was like being in the vail between life and death- it is so primal.. It is so beautiful and so much work for the best payoff ever. I just want to know how it will be this time. I guess I will find out soon enough.

Anything outstanding you want to do before the baby comes?
No nothin outstanding. I just want to clean my house nad relax.

Up to this point, what's the most important event in your life?
Having my DD. I was just in awe of what my body could do and what DH and I created. I still am.

What is the story behind your user name?
I goes back to DH and I. When we got married we made all of our invitations so no two were exactly alike. Birch(DH) designed our rings which are to trees growing towards a star. Then on our invitation he drew a tree with deep roots that had big wings. Underneath we wrote "Our roots grow deeper-Our wings unfurl". Because we ground each other yeat still soar in our own ways together. Sounds cheesy but it is true.

If you could have anything to eat right after birth (and you know it would be made exactly the way you like it) what would you have?
Really good ethiopian food yum and a glass of wine. Second would be Thai and a good cold beer.

What is a special childhood memory you have?
My mom and I cooking in the kitchen. She always let me cook and never seemed to mind the messes. My sister and I were always under foot. I think that is why I love to cook.

I lovethe experience of falling in love like that. I couldn't believe how much I loved DD. i also can't wait to see her as a big sister!

-What is your favorite thing about your partner?
He is a really good listener and he takes things to heart. We work really well togethr for that reason. He really balances me.

Your favorite season?
I love autumn. I lovethe smell, the colors, the air, the dressing in layers. I love waking up to a cool and crisp morning then being able to wear short sleeves by afternoon. The look of autumn is just brilliant. It takes my breath away sometimes looking at the mountains around our house.

Are you a country, suburb, or city person?
We live in the country and I LOVE it! Our nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away. I love being free like that. Hiking, getting the mail in my underwear if I want. Give me country anytime. I can visit cities.

Are you living near where you grew up?
I live 2 1/2 hours from where I grew up. I grew up in a city, not big at all. I see my family all the time. They love to visit the country and of course our DD. She is the only grandchild!

Do you use shampoo or are you a no-pooer?

If you buy a slushie, what flavor do you always lean towards?

If given $100 and you had to spend it on yourself, what would you use it for?

Do you do any gardening?
I used to lots of gardening and canning. This year we have only one big raised bed, but it will give us some great food this summer!
Can you tell me more about life-schooling, what do you like about it?
DH and I just feel like Indigo(DD) should be a part of all aspects of our lives. We teach her what we learn we follow her interests. We talk to her all the time. There are very few aspects of our lives that she is not involved in.

What is the most un-crunchiest thing you do?
Sometimes buy stuff at Sam's. I feel like you know what when I do, but sometimes the deal is just too good KWIM?

I am a shampooer. I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week. I love a shower!

If you buy a slushie, what flavor do you always lean towards?
Man, it has been such a looooooooooooong time. I think I liked the blue rasberry ones. Now I want a popscicle!

If given $100 and you had to spend it on yourself, what would you use it for?
I think a great boobalishious outfit to wear psot babe. I also wouldn't mind a petticure!

What is your most favorite thing to do with Indigo? (LOVE her name, btw!!)

How did you choose her name and how did you choose your new LO's name?

What is your favorite animal?

Do you plan on more LOs or is this baby it for you? (Or do you know that yet? ) If you want more, how many would you ideally like to have?
