I was just reading JennaW's thread, and got kinda choked up.

I am SO EXCITED for those of you becoming mothers for the first time. It is such an incredible, life altering experience.
I couldn't have possibly comprehended what kind of love mamalove for a child is. It's so visceral and such an amazing thing.

I wish you all the most peaceful and empowering births, if you haven't already had your baby, and I am so happy to be sharing in the joys of motherhood with each and every one of you.

(I guess I'm getting a little sappy here at the end of the long pregnancy haul.)

Awww, thank you! Things are getting so crazy now; it's so strange not knowing what to expect and how labour will present itself, even though I've been reading everyone's (very helpful!!!) stories for seven months now!

Thanks momma. It is hard to imagine how different it will be to have a little one. I keep having moments where I look at my husband and think wow these are our last few days as just the two of us and it is just amazing to think that I will be a mom so soon.

It has been so long ago for me, but I still remember the awe I felt. There is nothing like your first little baby, fresh and sweet, placed in your arms.

Thanks! Dh and I have been in SHOCK the last week that "wow, in 3 or 4 weeks (or less) we're gonna be parents... and have two kids! :" It's almost like "wow, how'd that happen!" We're *so* looking forward to the birth and being parents, especially after dealing with infertility and all the stuff we had to go through to get pregnant to begin with!

This thread made me so happy! Becoming a first time parent is so exciting but filled with so much uncertainty as well. I have all of these questions running through my brain like, "Will he be healthy?", "Will I like being a mom?", "How will I know when it's my birth time?", etc. This DDC has been a great support for me. I love hearing other women talk about how much they love being a mom. It sure beats the horror stories and nasty comments you hear from a lot of people! Thanks for making this time special ladies!:

good thread. I totally agree. It's been lovely to share this board with women from such vastly different experiences (moms of many and ftm).

wishing all of you the birth experiences you hope for.
