I think I made a mistake...

in agreeing to name our daughter Elwyn. I cannot for the life of me tell if people are saying Owen (DS2 name) or Elwyn. They sound too much alike! I am insisting now on everyone calling her Ellie so I know which child we are talking about. So, from now on should I introduce her to people as Ellie, or "Elwyn, but please call her Ellie"?

Ooh, those are pretty similar (love both names, though!). I'd probably introduce her as Ellie if I were you, just to avoid the confusion.

How about Ella? It doesn't sound shortened, and that way, you wouldn't have to do any explaining.

Ohhh I like Wynn!! Ellie is cute too!!

Do whatever maes you most comfortable! Just remmeber someone somwhere will always be there to mess up your kids name!

I have people telling me I named my first daughter a boy's name "Jordan"

and my inlaws call my 2nd daughter "Joshlynn"

can't wait to see what people come up with for the new one!

I'd just introduce her as Ellie. People will ask often enough if it is short for something and then you can tell them her full name.

BTW - I love your kids names!
