I know not many of you are Canadians, but hey, it's an excuse to celebrate anyhow.

How is everyone doing?
wow, ok, I have accepted the fact that I AM going to have a JULY baby!!!! Little stinker!! I should've known, I mean I was due in May with ds, and had a June baby, I just never thought I would go too far past 42 weeks with this one! I am suprisingly relieved for some reason that it is July now. I guess because there are so many day left in July, and maybe I was feeling like I was getting down to the wire with June closing in on me! So silly, but somehow it makes sense. Still having good rushes periodically, ......like right now............and the cervical pressure is enough to make it difficult to walk. DP asked if the baby was just going to fall out of me, and actually it kinds feels that way!(though of course I know it won't!!)

Had more acupuncture yesterday and started a homeopathic protocol as well. Eh, I still think the baby will just come when it comes regardless of what I do. Saw mw yesterday and baby is doing great, had a few ctx while she was listening and mw just got a huge smile and said "perfect!" so now we'll just wait!

The birth day pool they had going at work did not include July, so I am getting all the money from it!!! I told them I knew all along and it was just a scam to get some fast cash! I think I'm getting like $50!! They said at this point I deserve it for being so patient!

For the record, I am NOT going over to July ddc.

Bhodimom, you are an inspiration to me right now, as I am just a few days behind you and accepting that I may very well have a 43+ weeker as well. We are blessed with patience, lots of it!

I just hope I do not have a fifth of July baby, because we live 1/2 a mile from a big park that has a HUGE fireworks show and festival, and they close the road! The local police are NOT very flexible about letting people through, especially when the fireworks are going off! I can just see the chaos now......wellll, atleast if I do have a baby then, and am making a ton of noise, my neighbors will not even hear me! It'll be just me luck, watch!

Have a great day mamas! :

heh, happy canada day! Well, its July. 40+4 for me.
How many of us are left? 4? 5?
I'm annoyed at my DH, I woke up at 4:50am to him on the phone with work saying "yeah, my wife was having contractions last night, not sure if its the real thing or not yet but I better stay home, I'll be in tomorrow if its not though!" which is uh, real interesting since I was unaware of these contractions that were happening while I was SOUND ASLEEP! So, I'm not really annoyed that he called out, he does have sick time, but he used ME as an excuse to get more sleep and in turn, woke me up! I laid in bed until now (6am) but didn't actually fall back asleep. Meanwhile he is snoring away. I should kick him. ( I think I've said that on here before and FTR I don't really kick my husband )
Hes also going to make me look dumb when he goes to work tomorrow since I obviously don't know what real labor feels like (He also called out when I was in the hospital at 33ish weeks with a UTI, which we DID think was preterm labor until we got there and got treated for a very bad UTI/kidney infection instead, but he never clarified that with them, so I've now been in labor TWICE with no baby as a result according to what his boss knows! )

I have a lot of low cervical pressure yesterday, but no baby obviously, so I sit around and wait longer.....MW apt tomorrow late afternoon, kinda wondering what she'll say, I'm not really sure how she handles postdates.....

wheres anarchamama? She didn't leave us and have a canada day baby, did she???
I'm still here. 40+2 for me. Feeling a little crampy, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'm not Canadian, but Canada day sounds like a fine day to have a baby!

My midwives might offer to sweep my membrains today. I might go for it.
Sigh! No such luck, I'm still here! Booo! I feel crappy and grumpy already and I just started my day. It's still hot here and I didn't sleep super well last night. And it's July! Frick!

Dh and my parents are painting the porch this morning and I'm on the kids (double boo!) but I do have a massage this afternoon, so I'm holding out for that, maybe this week the accupressure will work.

40+6.
sorry! Maybe your babe is waiting for tomorrow so as to not be born on canada day per your DHs request
I'd kill for a massage right now though, we only have about 20 dollars to last us until July 11th though so I'm guessing I'm not going to get one

Its only 7am and I AM SO BORED!! There not even really anything online to kill time it seems, I've resorted to lurking in other DDCs, except now I'm so pregnant that the ones ahead of me are pretty much closed so I have to lurk at the ones behind me, and July is already well on a roll.....sigh.

Well, obviously I'm still here too, with very little happening as well. I get the occasionl cervical "zings" when I walk around, but nothing else. I've been reading up on the "new" way to calculate due dates, and apparently, according to this new system, I would be due around July 7th...sheesh. That's WAY far from my EDD of June 27th.

DH is still sick and stayed home yesterday...we went to a walk-in clinic and waited around for an hour only to have them tell us there was ONE doctor on call and that it would be another 2 hours. : We ended up leaving and just getting some advice from our local pharmacist and getting an expectorant cough syrup with codeine.

mama_moose, for what it's worth, my DH has used my impending birth as an excuse to stay home A LOT in the past few weeks. I'd say that only once was justified because I'd just had a sweep, had contrax and was loosing mucus, but the other times, he just wanted to stay home. Somehow, he's managed not to use more than 1 paid sick day, but it still pissed me off at the time (especially when he did it to stay home one afternoon so he could see a *female* friend of his who was in town for only a day or so...let's just say we had a MONSTER fight, with much door slamming, yelling, insults and tears....he ended up having his friend over for a few hours, in my presence, so I could see that nothing was going on...*men!*).

Went to see Wall E yesterday; it was so cute and just what I needed to get my mind off things.
I think thats what we'll do today, go see Wall E, I heard the drive in is only 5 dollars on Tuesday, and we can bring our own snacks and stuff. I'm not sure if Auggie would like it or not. She likes the commercials

and yes HAM, men are lame!! I'm going to be sure to inform him that since I'm "in labor" I'm not changing any diapers today!

Hi everyone and happy Canada day! (Hey, we all need some excuse to celebrate, right?) Today is day 2 of me being home with the kids... so far so good, but thank God for nap time. I'm taking James to a Gymboree class today so that should wear him out nice and good.

Sunmama - do you have a MW? How long past your EDD is she willing to let you go>? Just curious - I hope you and your LO are both doing well.

Everyone else... July is a good month for a baby! Keep posting here so we can keep track of you, though I love reading everyone's birth stories and seeing the great news as babies are born.

Wow It July already! Labor Vibes to all you moms-in-waiting.

This is my first week semi alone with all three kids (dh works from home a lot and my mom keeps stopping by) but I am also back working from home and ds1(it feels so weird to have to put a "1" in front of the "ds") came down with a high fever so its feeling like a bit to juggle. Plus L hasn't been sleeping at night as well as he was. He's very gassy and burpy and pukey. This morning we both woke up covered in spit up, breast milk and pee.

I'm now just dreading Thursday when my in laws come and the 4th of July activities start in full swing. Our street becomes a 24-7 firework party and I'm just not into it. Ugh.

Here's hoping all the rest of the June babes come THIS week!!!

Happy Canada Day! I'm still waiting too. I sort of figured I'd have a July baby anyway. I'm starting to get nervous though since my scheduled c-section is approaching and I'm still not feeling anything happening. I really want this vbac! Last night we ordered in some spicy Indian food, which I ate for breakfast too! Yummy, but didn't wreak havoc on my system like I kind of hoped.

Good luck to the rest of you mama's in waiting! I hope my next post is about my water breaking or something else exciting!

yes I do have a mw, and actually, we haven't discussed how long she is comfortable with letting me go...I know she is totally fine with 43 weeks, and does checks with me every few days to see how we're both doing. So far, so good. Babe has great variables and is moving like a champ. I am working on staying well rested, fed and hydrated.

Happy Canada day everyone! Its super hot here and I think dp and I are taking the boys for a weinie roast at the river. Billy is actually sleeping in bed without me right now! I am so shocked!

Happy Canada Day!!

still here too.. 40 +3 days.. ive had some cramping with my ctx. so i guess they're not btx... i have an appt today at 345 with my md to "decide" what we're going to do, since i have gdm, be induced or just let us labor on our own..
oh, i just had a u/s at 1245 and they "guestimated" that the baby was 9#2oz.. i cant wait to see if they're right.. i cant wait to see something!

ill be back around 5 with some info.. i hope..

alright.. so they're not inducing me, which is TOTALLY fine.. im 1.5 cntmr dilated and 70% effaced.. i have another appt with them next tuesday UNLESS i "go" before then... i feel happy, i thought i would be sad because i wont be meeting her now, but i've been having some ctx so i feel like she'll be coming soon anyway.. talk to you soon!
I just had some accupuncture to get things moving along. I went pee about a half hour latter and saw a little bloody show in my mucus. Fingers crossed!

ELV to christinespurlock and sasha1 ! I hope things are moving for you both!

My doula just had me start a regiment of caulophyllum 3x a day for the next few days...dunno if it'll do anything but baby's been moving a lot more since I started it. Crossing fingers...

I'm so glad to hear it! Sending you happy baby labor vibes!

Halaroo - when is your c/s scheduled for and how many weeks will you be at that point? I really hope things get moving on their own for you - my VBAC was such an amazing healing experience and catching my own baby was a fabulous way to welcome her into the world - I really really hope your VBAC goes great too! (FWIW my baby was born at 41+2 weeks).

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!!!
