I just had an idea for a project I want to try. I want to make a spice rack/spice organizing system out of used baby food jars. I have a friend who is keeping her jars but doesn't know what to do with them, and I have been trying to think of a practical use. What do you think? How would you envision something like that?

AO, my dad used to keep screws in something like that. The lids were secured to a piece of wood we installed on the wall and the jars (obviously) screwed into the lids to stay on the board. It was cool.

Mine too, Frog. That's exactly what gave me the idea. I don't think I want to do this that way (too much chance to spill spendy spices when you unscrew them), but I have a wooden wine rack that I took out of someone's' garbage that I think I might be able to modify to make little shelves for the little jars, so that they can sit upright...

Or you could put magnets on the lid and make a magnet strip and stick em like those knife rack thingies.

What about yogurt jars that have a plastic lid. would those spill as easily when you remove them?

Although...I suppose that would defeat the reuse/recycle idea unless you can thrift them.

So, crazy preggo was up until 4am...but most of my projects are done..lol..that's the only time I can work-when DH and DD are asleep!!!

Some minor adjustments needed on a couple of things and then all of those are done. I have another flash card project I want to finish up and those vinyl canning labels that are being a pain in my butt, I will figure them out! (Maybe?) LOL

oo can I join? I'm crafty..but not exactly talented lol. I made diapers out of old t-shirts when my kids were babies, I make my own mama cloth, and i occasionally just create something for fun.

My latest project is a birthday gift for a turning 6 mermaid lover

You should be able to google the brand and find vendors near you. If it's a common brand (like Singer) you will be able to find it at your fabric and/or craft store.

As for my recent crafting,
I am slowly finishing there wool needle felted fairies I've been working on. Its the first time I've made multi-cultural ones.
I've made a few felt balls this week too, and I've never made those.
