So, after about 30 hours of labor and a c-section, Wesley made his appearance last night around 5 p.m. (He was posterior and asynclitic, and I was making no progress at all despite hours of Pitocin--which I do not recommend!) I always thought I would be really upset if I needed a c-section, but actually I'm totally okay with it because I felt it was necessary. A more detailed birth story and pics will follow later!

He was 9 lbs, 6 oz, 20-3/4 inches long, and looks more or less exactly like Walter Matthau. He's an enthusiastic marathon nurser, which I hope will help with milk supply!
