And it was positive. EDD of March 14. I am planning a VBAC Home birth with a midwife. In trying to keep people out of my business (especially near the end) I kinda want to fudge my EDD a little. Push it back 10 days or so. Is that bad of me? Last time I had DD at 39w, 5D, but truly, she probably would have stayed another 4-5 days if I hadn't let the doc take over. So, what do you think? Tell family the "last week of march" and let them figure it out themselves?

I always say I am going to tell our families a later due date since I always go over. The constant calls from 37 weeks on that last 5 weeks drive me bonkers! I have never actually done it though. This last pregnancy may be the one to do it with though.
Like the pp said though, I would not fudge on dates with my midwife/ob.

Congrats to you. I don't know about giving a later due date. Definitely not to the midwife, definitely not for a VBAC at home. Good luck with whatever you decide to tell your fam. It can certainly get annoying at the end

Oh yes, give whatever due date you want! Only the baby really knows when s/he's due anyway! I'm due March 13th so I'm just using the "end of March" timeframe. My last baby was due 28 Jan and even though I knew from the beginning he'd be late I still told people my EDD. And he was 9 days "late" and everyone was practically stalking me at the end!

Welcome and congrats! I'm a believer in lying about the due date. My real due date should be Feb 23 but I'm fudging the numbers so it's March 1. I think it's good to just have a little wiggle room, yk? Best of like with your VBAC!
