Our July 1st baby!!!

We welcomed our son, John today at 1054 am :
We're still undecided on the middle name...if you'd like to help us pick we're going with Asher or Alden. Help!

Labor was just a few minutes over 5 hours, only 4 were painful! As compared to DD's labor of 28 hours....phew!! Midwives were there about 20 minutes or so before he arrived. Enough to set up there stuff and that was it.

He was born in the smallest room in the house....our tiny upstairs bathroom! Good thing the MW assistant is tiny herself!!!

7lbs 10oz and I think 20 3/4 inches long. He has a bit of dark hair and long, long fingernails.

A full birth story to follow! I can't believe how alert and clear I was throughout the whole thing! I homebirth!!

Oh, I always want to know the gestation when I read others birth stories; I was 39weeks 2 days.

Congratulations!! : What a handsome little guy--and those cheeks!

I think both middle names are great, but I'd go for Alden--a little more unusual yet classic-sounding, these days.
