good afternoon!

I just got home from my midwife, I decided to go ahead and get a cervix check just to see, and of course nothing exciting to report. She says I'm about 2-2.5 cm and about 50% effaced. bah! lol.

Honestly I didn't expect much more than that, but at least I know where i am right now, which is nowhere

Look at all the 40 wkers here! I am only 37 wks (tomorrow). So, of course, that means all of you will be holding your sweet little ones before I will, or at least have a higher chance of it.

Unless this this comes early. Yesterday I was sure Baby was an alien trying to crawl out my belly button! AND IT HURT! Here I was, driving down this curvy, country road (bringing my daughter home from her first dancing lesson, Yah!) and I felt like I was having hard contractions. BUT they weren't. It was this monster in my belly trying to claw it's way out! I have been sore ever since.

I have no idea what was going on inside here, but I am sure it had better stop. It was worse than labor. And since I was driving down the road (with no shoulders and no where to stop), all I could do was say "OW!" over and over again while telling him/her to stop! NOT FUN!

happy due dates to everyone who is having their due dates!

i had a mw appointment yesterday. it went really well. i feel really great today! better than i have in a long time.

i am having some major feet swelling issues, though. it's kind of embarassing! i never had this with the other two kids. i hope nobody looks down.

Our heat is gone today I was enjoying the heat yesterday it was just right But at least my feet are not as swollen!

I've been doing nothing but sleeping today. I have NO energy, I feel like I'm going to throw up and my tummy has been doing a clean for a few days. And I'm still having my night contractions but not really "labour" contractions.

I was 38 weeks yesterday so I'm thinking at least 2 more weeks and really I don't mind as long as DH can deal with me.

Oh and after he tells me about his mom slip up he then goes to tell me that my BIL thinks I'm too crazy about car seats ummm no... he thinks that our carseat shouldn't be teathered and is mad because he works for his dad (daycare) and has to take the bus everywhere until they figure out the new carseat/booster law and what vehicals have to have boosters/carseats for what kids in them. DH a couple years ago didn't get why I thought they were crazy and now he gets it...

Now if only BIL knew that I was thinking of switching DD back rearfacing because we finally have a seat that goes over 30 pounds rearfacing. It was just a little too late coming here. Or when he finds out that DD WILL be harnessed until she outgrows our biggest one And the next will rearface until 35 pounds unless a higher seat comes out

I wonder what else he thinks I'm crazy about? I can't wait to start breastfeeding a little baby again THAT drives him nuts (although we think he's understanding why it's better) cuz he's afraid he going to see something. So he always just turns his head and asks me to tell him when she's "on"... which is an improvement.

Off to try and do the towel laundry for the birth. I've been meaning to get to it for about 5 days

argh! Lil vent here...

So my DH's cousin just drove down here from Nebraska, she and I get along great so we are sitting here chatting and catching up, its been 3yrs since I saw her... anyway my Mom calls my cell and I ignore the call (if its important she WILL leave a msg anyway) and a minute later she is calling the house phone, I ignore that one too, because I'm visiting ya know? My mom lives a few blocks away...

5 min later shes barging into the door...

"oh I thought you were having the baby, I saw a strange car outside and you didn't answer the phones and you were obviously home your van is outside" :::

I said to her "I'm visiting with DHs cousin and I figured if it was important you would leave a message, besides if I *WAS* having this baby right now, my midwives would toss you out the door on your behind"

She knows she isn't invited to the birth, and that I want privacy and we will call her and everyone else as soon as he is here, blah blah blah. what the heck was her barging in all about? :

That is totally something my mom would do. She's so suspicious every time I don't answer the phone. Ugh!
