DD is 9MO and I am so proud of myself for having breastfed this long. I plan to breastfeed on demand for a year and then do the "don't offer, don't refuse" approach or gently wean her after that.
My question: I've noticed that lately I never feel "full" anymore. I wouldn't worry except that I always used to feel full and i used to feel my let-downs very strongly and now they don't feel as strong. DD still seems to get as much as she wants/needs. She gulps and gulps still and usually is satisfied with just one side and hardly ever finishes both sides. I've been taking fenugreek three times a day since I noticed the difference, but wonder if it's really necessary. Maybe b/c of solids she's just taking less milk and this is normal... I just love that feeling like I have more than enough, and I think it's hard for me just to trust my body to make enough for a bigger baby.
For those of you who have nursed the whole year or past a year, do you remember experiencing this? Do you think I should stop taking fenugreek? I think it has helped, but maybe it's not really necessary...
Thanks if you are still reading and double thanks if you respond
