I own a little gelato shop/bakery. A friend gave me the idea to post the International Breastfeeding Symbol on the wall, which I did. Then, she wrote a letter to the editor in our local paper, congratulating our shop on being the first to post that symbol. That was followed by some educational information on the breastfeeding laws in Ohio, and about the symbol itself.

This was over a month ago and I can't find a link to the article... but still... I was really proud of this and had to share!

I have seen quite a few moms and babes bf in there, and have gotten several nice comments as well.

That's wonderful! If I saw the International Breastfeeding symbol posted in a buisness, I would definately frequent that buisness to show my support!

Woot!!

We have a local kid consignment store that is really nice (they also sell a lot of new stuff like Bravado nursing tanks, Lilypadz, Isabooties, etc.) I love that store in general, but even more because they have a sign on their door that says "breastfeeding welcome here" :

I don't think it is the official symbol from the MDC contest (at least, not the last time I checked) but when I first went to the store and saw that, I was so happy!

Way to go, mama! Our fam would totally be at your store on a regular basis if we lived nearby
