Pink CM - How bad is this?

Hi Everyone,

Today I noticed a bit of pink mucus on my TP (along with non-pink mucus as well). I'm wondering...how bad is this? I think I'm past the point where it could be implantation bleeding (5w3d, and I believe I had a bit of implantation cramping at 6 DPO, so that was a while ago) and I don't think it's sex-related, either. No cramps or anything, but the pink CM is disconcerting. Some websites are absolutely frightening, while others say not to worry. I suppose there's probably a bit of truth in both...

Any insight?

p.s. I don't have a regular doctor, and won't be seeing an OB until July 16th.

It sounds like things are moving around in there! Babies like to kick their mamas don't they, I think it is to prepare us for when they are toddlers...

It is hard to chill but try if you can, mention it to your practitioner but it sounds ok.

Wait until you feel the little bugger move When I was 9 months with my son, you could see his elbows and knees jut out whenever he moved around.

As long as you don't have any real cramping, I wouldn't worry about it

Thanks, Vanessa. No cramping at all. It's actually stopped now, so I'm feeling a little less worried. When I saw it this morning, though, my heart totally skipped a beat!

I'm so glad to see this thread, cuz I had some pink spotting earlier. At first I thought it was [sorry tmi] from my anus, but it seems to have definitely come from the vagina. Later there was some brownish/grey cm. I remember I spotted some with DS1, but that was later on I think, closer to 8 weeks.
I'm not having cramps, but I am having twinges which I guess are round ligament pains?
I'm torn between excitement and disbelief that this LO is actually going to stick.

I had some ever-so-slight, very light colored brown spotting for 2 days, but it wasn't on the TP. I only saw it when I checked my cervix. So I stopped poking around up there. I'm too paranoid to mess with it now.

I'm trying to break the cervix-poking habit myself! I just wanna know what's going on up there!

It's not unsual at all to have a little spotting. If you're poking around up there, that will definitely cause it. A low lying placenta can cause it too. With #2 I had that and it's the only pregnancy I spotted a little bit with.

Just keep an eye on it and I would say if you have it again, call your OB (or midwife) just for peace of mind. But it can be very normal.

Me too. The last time I actually checked was last night, and my cervix had gone *waaaaay* back up, though it was sort of medium-ish before. I didn't want to try and reach it only to irritate it. But things are... um... a little moist down there. *TMI* I know.

I had some bright red spotting at a week ago for about a day or two combined with with some minor cramping but not enough to need a pad or anything.

spotting is ok and normal... don't freak out unless it continues.
