Last Minute Name Doubt

Thread Starter
Okay, yeah, I am due TODAY, and have been having some ctx that I hope are just the first wave of the real thing, and here I am - totally doubting the choice of name for the baby.

As in, over the past few days, I have decided I don't want to use Jayson. Part of me feels weird about that, because everyone has been referring to the baby by his "name" for literally weeks, even my kids, but another part of me completely cringes at this point and does NOT want to use this name at all.

(Part of it is a recent falling-out with someone I considered a good friend, who has this same name... completely coincidence, but there it is.)

So now here I am like, out of time to decide, and I'm up in the air on names.

Some possibilities I have found, listed below, are good I think, but nothing really jumps out and grabs me. What do you think of these? And any middle name suggestions, or possible combinations of the below names?

(incidentally, I am only about 80-85% sure it's even a boy - the ultrasound was by no means completely definitive, but I do have a girl name chosen in case it's not a boy: Jewyll Raine)

Jeffrey
Keaghan
Nathan
Lucas
Morgan
Aiden
Donovan
Kevin

If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to drop them on me. Someone mentioned "Garrick" which I like, but it won't work with the last name (which is Guerra - rhymes with "Sara").

I really like Donovan or Jeffrey

I like Morgan.

I think a lot of people are naming their kid Aiden lately. If that matters to you.

Of course, another option is to just keep the list and go with what suits the baby best.

I really like Keaghan and Kevin. DH is Kevin, so, for me, it is a super good guy name AND I have never known a Kevin I didn't like. And it isn't very popular anymore--a plus IMO.

You're right about Garrick--I can't even say it smoothly with Guerra.

I LOVE the girl name you have picked.

We're probably going to end up using Donovan (Mikah Donovan), but you're still more than welcome to it!!! it's a great name!!

I also like Lucas Morgan

I really like Nathan and Lucas. Aiden is very popular right now.

I vote Lucas :

I think Donovan sounds nice with your last name

Don't feel like you have to stick with your name choice or pick one right away. My friend, who just had her youngest daughter 8 weeks ago waited for a name to come clear for her for 5 days. Keep your list and wait to meet baby and see what fits him/her.

I like Lucas. We're naming one of our twins Lucius though, so I'm a bit partial. I think Lucas Donovan would be quite nice.

ETA: One of my very good friends has a son named Kellen, so this might be a nice variant on Kevin to think about.

Another vote for Lucas. I do love that name. Another vote against Aidan also, simply because it is SO big right now.

Personally, I'd just keep the list nearby printed out & then when your little guy arrives, choose one that suits him the best... or perhaps flip back to Jayson if that's who he is or throw in a different name!

I like your list.

Maybe add Kelvin to it? (If you like it!)

Brendan also is a nice, and gentle, name.

I think Lucas would sound really nice with your last name.

I like Lucas and Morgan.
(and if it helps, I am totally having second thoughts on our boy name too...)

I like...

Sawyer and Finn (my nephews)

Cohen (my son)

I like unique names. If I were to choose from yours I like Lucas I think. Keagan is nice too!

My brothers name is Kaille. I like it spelled Cale though.

I like Nathan!
