Happy 4th of July to our US mamas.
I didn't see a daily thread for today so i thought I would start.

37 weeks today! Yay! Last night I had so much pressure and some cramping and lost a bit of plug...I thought for sure something was gonna happen, but I went to sleep and woke up with a headache and no more back pain or pressure. Oh well....I should try and just forget I am pg for the next couple weeks...maybe it will help with anticipating every twinge or stalking the tp? LOL
Have a good day everyone.

I'm 37 weeks today too! :
I had a little bit of very mild cramping this a.m. but otherwise I feel no different. My fingers continue to be numb -- makes typing a drag.
Because of the GBS + I'm just hoping like mad my water doesn't break early!!
Washed 24 newborn diapers and I think I'm ready, except for packing the hospital bag.

37 + 4 today, feeling fine, just tired and sick of waiting! lol!
Happy 4th American friends

Still here, 36 weeks and some days, and doing good. My mw came for her home visit yesterday which was fun. Now we can test the birth pool. I still need to put the carseat bases in the car...but I'm not rushing on this one. I also need to exchange and return some stuff from my shower last weekend. I have time, so again, not rushing (although I have to tell you I feel rushed!!!)

Hoping for some July 4th babes around here!!

Well, sitting here hoping that Magic 8 ball Spark posted is right and I go into labor today! I am SO ready! LOL

Otherwise, just enjoying being off bedrest and enjoying the family and friends! Going to BBQ at the in-laws at 11 and then over to a friend's house for swimming and a BBQ ni the later afternoon. Then home. (Too dang hot to go out to watch fireworks! Supposed to be 101 around 8 pm! YUCK!)

Happy 4th everyone!!! :

good morning all! i'm 39wks today! i had another home visit yesterday from the MW. the last 3 appts have been at our house, and it's so nice! the babe has turned to the left again. YAY for that!!!!! it's HR was a little lower than it has been, but it was very wiggley and showed responsiveness, so MW wasn't worried. last night i was woken up by what i'm guessing were ctx, although i can't be sure. it happened twice and it was so confusing that i didn't really have time enough to wake up and figure out what was going on before i fell back asleep again. who knows--maybe it was just dd kicking me in the stomach. she can be a bit of a wild sleeper.

we had a really nice day yesterday, and i'm suddenly just feeling ready. it's a calm peaceful kind of ready, not a panicy "get this kid out now" kinda thing. i'm not dying to have a 4th of july baby or anything like that. i'm not sure what this is all about, but it's fine with me.

39+3 today

Last night our town did their fire works, so we had a picnic : in the park and sat around waiting for them to start, the newspaper said 9:15 and it was more like 10:20 before anything started, ugh. I was so tired, and kinda sick of sitting on the hard ground, but my lil DD was so excited to see fireworks and didn't want to go home, so we stuck around. It was a great show, I was surprised, because we live in a small town and usually we are up camping for the 4th and miss any celebrations.

Baby reacted to the booms a lot, jumping and maybe startling? I had some cramping and pressure walking back to the car and had to stop a couple times, which annoyed people walking behind me, but whatev! Their smoking annoyed me but I didn't stop and glare and sigh loudly. :

Nothing exciting going on other wise, letting DH sleep in today, my oldest DD just went out to breakfast with her boyfriends mom and they plan to shop all day in Estes Park, while my son is up camping in the mountains with my IL's. And if they call me one more time asking "any news?" I might have to scream into the phone

I'm planning to bake some bread my mw sent me the link to, she said its "amazing" so I'm going to busy myself with that, it takes 24 hours to make and is no knead, so I can mix it up and forget it for a while, which with my spacey pregnant brain shouldn't be hard at all!

Hope everyone has a great 4th, and : to all our new mamas and mamas in labor!

39w3d!

I had ds at 39w4d so I keep feeling like it's possible soon.
I'm nervous!
I start thinking about labor and I feel excited and then I get this nervous feeling creeping in.
I'm definitely more nervous than I was the first time. Is anyone else?
Also, I don't want to start labor in the night. Last night I was so tired and kept telling myself not to start in the night. It's probably not a good idea to tell myself that.

39w4d...nothing really happening here. I was really thinking I might have a July 4th baby, but no sign of that today. I've resigned myself to the fact that I might actually go over my EDD for the first time. I'm working really hard to be at peace with that. Other than that, we have a good day planned with the family. BBQ, fireworks, and just spending time with our children.

Happy Independence Day! Hope everyone has a great day and can't wait to see some more babies!

Could all of you "hope it's soon" folks send a few of your vibes to me instead, since you haven't even reached your "due dates" while I am on day #4 of prodromal labour... at 41 weeks and 2 days! I don't mind prodromal labour earlier on, but it feels like the universe is conspiring against me at this point.

Well, I'm here at 35weeks (tomorrow). Which is great, because it means if I go into labor now, I will not end up transfering to albuquerque to be near the NICU. A triumph in itself, my midwife says.

Next Saturday we are going to put my tipi up in my backyard, and from there on in it looks like a homebirth for me! I'm a little shocked by it...I have been moping around the last few weeks, thinking that I was not going to be able to hold this baby in long enough, and now that I'm getting so close, I'm really stunned, each day I get a little more happy!

I'm pretty much over my freakout from earlier in the week. My DBF and I had a really long talk about all kinds of things, and he stuck around all day to make sure I was ok, then went and got ice cream for my kids and acted like a FATHER to them, in a way that I have never seen before. It made me feel really happy, but not too hopeful. At any rate, I know he's excited about this baby, and I guess somehow things are going to work out.

We had a huge thunderstorm last night, and it was just my teenage boy and I at home...we made enchiladas on our campstove and had a candlelit dinner while our neighbors shot their fireworks. It was really nice...exactly what we needed.

Hi mamas! Today is my due date :! No signs of labor yet though. With DD I had the first signs in the night on my due date, like the first ctx and bloody show, then she was finally born at 40+2.

DH and I are chilling out watching the history channel now.... I just made a big breakfast :.... DD is napping. Later on we are off to my mom's, my grandma and aunt are down and we will probably : again! What a great day! Hopefully DD will be able to stay up late enough for fireworks too.

yamilee, you can have all my contractions and labor vibes!!! hope things really get going for you!!!

been contracting a lot this morning, but also been very busy doing last minute shopping for our party this afternoon -- I soooooo don't want to have this baby today. Luckily, they mostly go away when I sit down, but there is so much that needs done that sitting isn't high on my to-do list.

but I'll find it ironic that my doula didn't rsvp for the party and me needing to call her and tell her she has to come anyways -- bwahah.

I am 37+ now, and hoping for baby today.

Not that I have been wanting a 4th baby, but my b/p seems to be on the rise, so I am looking into having an early baby rather than trouble.

Well, 40w3d here. Still pregnant. Feeling better this morning though. Last night I was pretty emotional. My girls stayed over at the IL's which was a nice treat for all of us. Someone down the road hit a power line or something (going much to fast on a windy road...) power went out about 9:45ish and was out for a long time. I think I fell asleep around midnight and it was still out - woke up around 2:30 with a few lights on. It was kind of relaxing to be in the candle light, but frustrating too because I was hungry and couldn't find anything I wanted to eat that didn't involve cooking!

My MW has my charts in her car - expects it'll be any day.

I am having a hard time concentrating on anything lately. Sore kind of all over. Oh, and UGGG! I finally blew up the birth ball the other day and was sitting on it last night and now my inner thy's are soooo sore! But thats my own fault.

Here's hoping that the fireworks get something going tonight. I'm sure I'll go insane if I go to 42 weeks!

Well I have been getting "real" contractions for the majority of the day (as opposed to BH - I can tell because they start in my back and under the belly), but they are nothing even close to consistent or really painful. With my first I started with teeny timeable contractions but by this time would've been in agony . With my second my water broke first and then it took off after that. Does anyone know if you've never had Prodromal labour in previous pg's is it possible that this could be that anyway? I am only 37 weeks but am really feeling pressure in my back and lost a teeny bit of plug last night but it doesn't feel like these contractions are going anywhere. I got them a bit closer with nipple stim but can't continue doing that (it hurts! LOL). I have drank some RRL tea and am debating using EPO again tonight, anything else I can do to try and keep this going somewhere?

Jenn, I just wanted to tell you that I'm going thru the EXACT same thing right now. My ctx aren't getting closer, but they do hurt. I'd say have a glass of wine (small of course) and see if that will relax you a little bit. DH asked me to check my cervix to see if we needed to go to the hospi or not. Well nothing has changed so we're not going right now anyway. Try the pressure points on your leg. 4 fingers above you ankle bone just on the soft tissue behind your leg bone. If the spot is tender and hurts a bit, then your there. Do each side for one minute then alternate, wait for 20 mins and do it again. If a regular patern starts then there you go....if not then it's probably prodromal labor....good luck mama!!!

Hi all. Here I am at 39 weeks, 1 day. I don't usually check in on the daily posts since nothing much has been changing for me on a daily basis but I have had kind of a fun last 24 hours. DH is in California for a wedding and my MIL has taken DD, last night and tonight, so I have been alone for 24 hours. Not everyone would enjoy this, but for it me it has been fabulous! I have napped, bathed, read, napped some more, watched some TV, inflated my birth tub so it is all ready, assembled the bassinet for next to the bed, spent some time doing on line shopping I needed to do, checked for new babies about 5 times and just relaxed. I have been in my pj's and not left the house since dinner last night. I haven't had a nice break like this in three years, since before DD was born, and who knows when it will happen again! Right now I am just trying to figure out what to feed myself for dinner since it will be dinner for one. Beautiful.

I did get awakened from my nap with a contraction/crampy feeling that was different from anything I have felt and it made me think we might have a baby earlier in the week next week than later, but who knows. Whatever you are or aren't doing today, hope you are all having wonderful days too!

Oh, I also have like zero appetite and a lot of lower back pain. I am just afraid I really am in labour and not feeling it as much being a 3rd time mama? I am only worried that I would call DH at work in time if things started to become more recognizeable as labour......he is on a night shift. Ack! If these were doing something though I would surely notice more discharge or something right?

36+1 over here, contracting away, albeit painlessly. also nesting like crazy...decided it was imperative to go buy an air pump and inflate the birth pool RIGHT NOW, so that's all done. i've also vacuumed the whole house, gotten dh to do the dishes, and sewn a new sling. and washed the covers to the couch cushions. and i wanted to scrub the kitchen floor, but dh wouldn't let me. he did it instead, and of course i want to go redo it, because he didn't do it 'right' . i'm out of things to do, dang it! oh well, another hour and a half and i can go up to my moms for fireworks, woohoo!
