Hi!

Still here, still pregnant, still spotting but nothing exciting happening (well except for that we FINALLY got our stimulus check today, lol).

Good news on the check! That is always a good thing (to get money in the mail).

Sorry your baby is not here. Perhaps Baby was waiting for the check!

Honestly, she might be. We really needed that money to pay the hospital deductible. I mean, we obviously had plan B but we prefer to pay in cash so I was really happy to get it. Also, now we can get the outboard seat belts fixed in our Hyundai (the dogs chewed them : ). I was telling DH how its funny you can get what seems like a big chunk of money and get rid of it pretty quick! We are grateful though. When DH checked our account this morning and saw it was there he said "God Bless America!"

You are so sweet. Still nothing. Getting a little nervous because I have a midwife appt on Thursday and I know they will bring up induction. Even though I will not consent, I just don't want to have that talk....

Have you considered letting them do a membrane sweep instead? to just see if that might get things going?

I know personally (I'm not dilated AT ALL) if I were getting close to my induction date (and I really am) I would ask to be checked for dilation and ask to have a sweep to see if that would work instead. JMO tho, and sorry I keep bringing up your thread again mama, I just think about you tons for some reason.

I do not want to do a membrane sweep or cervical checks, I personally think those will only set me up for more interventions. No judgement on anyone that chooses these things but my instinct tells me it is not the way to go.

I don't have an induction date and I'm not even willing to set one at this point. I feel comfortable going to 43 weeks before doing any types of more aggressive induction techniques.

I just don't like having those awkward conversations is all. Luckily so far, the CNM's have been really good about every other thing (like denying cervical checks and denying antibiotics) so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised, who knows?
