updated with quick birth story
hi mamas! got the wee one in my arms, doing the one handed typing....Judah Ari is his name and he's doing great! Some latch on/cracked nipple probs but we're working it out.
So, qiuck version of his birth:
Remember how I was going to try some natural induction methods? WELL! It worked! I made a castor oil milkshake at ten pm, and went to bed early with dp for some lovins. Woke up at three to pee, having mild ctx. woke again at 5 from my moaning, realizing the ctx were stronger and appeared to be about two minutes apart, but short, like under a minute long. Went to the bathroom, totally emptied my bowels(woah castor oil!) and had a huge ctx after that and got the shakes really intensely. Still able to laugh, chat etc between ctx, /i called mw just to give her heads up that it was definitely on! Agreed to call in an hou r to give her update, or sooner if things changed. Figured the shaking was due to the castor oil. The ctx just picked up in intensity and got longer in a matter of minutes! Next thing I know I am demanding dp be with me thru the ctx and I have parked it on the potty! Stayed there for a few , and noticed I felt pushy....this was 15 minutes after I had gotten off the phone with mw! Next ctx, the urge was stronger and I grunted out "call.......Karen!!!(mw)" She made her way and got to the house by 7:30am.....so that shaking was transition??mw checked me, and I prayed she would say 6cm at least, but I was complete! Moved to bedroom and gave birth to Judah squatting on my bedroom floor with dp supporting me from behind on the bed at 9am. A four hour labor!!!!(plus two weeks of prelabor, I must have been dilating that whole time) Unimaginable to me seeing as my first was 54 hours!!!!
I literally breathed him out the last few ctx and it was empowering and awesome to just let my body do it. I am still in bliss from such an exprience!
