100% Cotton futon for folding couch?

Hi,
Is 100% cotton futon mattress going to compress too much if it is mainly used as a sofa on a folding couch?
For sofa, polyfoam core is recommended but I want natural. Latex core is very expensive though.
What do you think of 100% cotton futon mattress for a child?
Latex ones are too pricy so I thought I would go with 100% organic cotton but then my main concern is compression and dust mites.
Thanks!

Anyone? I really need an answer. Do cotton futons hold up as a folding couch or as a child's bed? Thanks!

We had one that we sold to some friends. It was a great "backup" couch, but not so hot as a primary couch. You never could get your rear all the way back to sit well and since the sides were wooden laying on it that way was uncomfortable. It was great for a guest bed, but not for everyday. We had a queen.

As for a daybed, sitting would be similiar to the futon. Hope this helps.
