Family

Thread Starter
I was invited to my Aunts house on the 4th. I thinkI did well on fielding(sp?) those "school" questions. A few family members mentioned School next year but I just didn't really answer them (pass the bean dip). I only see my family a couple of times a year and didn't really want to make this an issue. I still have 2yrs before I have to send in a Letter of inent.
I guess I would have loved to talk to my family about my chose. (What I would really like to do is talk IRL to someone who homeschools) I already know my siblings don't aprove.

Thanks for reading this. I'm just feeling a little down this morning.

Are there any local HS groups you can join, or even a convention you might be able to attend? Maybe a yahoo group or meetup group serving your area?

It helps so much to see and hear others who homeschool to help pick up your own level of self-confidence. Home educators are such a diverse group, and maybe if you could see some of that, you would be able to picture yourself fitting in there ... and maybe also build your confidence in discussing the topic with others.

Yes, I agree with the pp. Plus, read all the hs books, websites, and blogs. Post here and everywhere. That with the hs support groups you will have the confidence, and that's all you need.
