Affirmations for patience?

Who has some good ones? Or ideas for a project I could be working on? I'm getting far too restless for my own good.

I am so completely bored with this pregnancy. But I just keep saying to myself "Baby knows best"!

I came across this poem yesterday & printed it out.

Patience, patience, patience.
What you need is patience.
In the heart of your patience you will discover peace-blooms and satisfaction-blossoms. - Sri Chinmoy

Now, in my own head, my mantra is simply - "It's not labor unless I'm crowning." I just have SO many ctx. I'm not even at my due date yet, so it COULD really be quite a while longer!

On another list I participate on, someone wrote a few weeks ago in response to a woman who was getting anxious to get things underway, "...if you can't trust your body enough to leave it alone and let it start labor, how are you supposed to trust it while you are IN labor?"

I think about that all the time, especially now that I am in prodromal purgatory. I also went to a conference last year and someone from Trust Birth was handing out their rubber bracelets which simply say, "TRUST BIRTH," so I have been wearing it for the past two weeks, as a frequent reminder.

Thanks!

Nothing is more patient than just sitting back and watching everyone else talk!

Ahhh, I really need this right now. I'm 40+2 with no signs of labor, and DD was born at 40+2, and I was so sure I would have a baby by now! LOL.

Does anyone else have the Guns N Roses song "Patience" in their head now

Many of us need a little reminder, especially me!

Here's a favorite of mine:

Patience in the present, faith in the future, and joy in the doing ~ ~
George Herrera

I used to have a great tool for my clients called The Waiting Days calender with all kinds of fun ideas and suggestions to schedule those last few weeks of pregnancy.

But for me I still have a long "to do" list. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow but hoping for 2 more weeks.

Yes! I feel so guilty for being impatient at 38wks. Esp when I see other mamas who are farther along than I am. Like I've said, if I wouldn't have had the others early, then this wouldn't bother me!
