Well, I won't be doing that again... - Page 2

I needed to read this thread this morning. Y'all are hilarious. LOL

DP and DTD last night and it wasn't so bad. A bit uncomfortable at first but once I got into the "wild kingdom/bowing goddess" position, it was GREAT! And he loved it too. I must admit I felt kinda icky because the babe is head down and it seems he was pretty deep (sorry for TMI). I've only felt babe move twice since we finished last night. Not even a really sweet drink is getting this kid to move. Do you think he's just as tired as us?

Sorry to bust in from another DDC...but I couldn't resist - My DH and I refer to it as "watching X-Files". It came from a line in the song Scooby Snacks by The Bloodhound Gang: "Let's do it doggie style so we can both watch X-Files". And it just so happens that we LOVE the X-Files

DH got the idea to do it, well the first time since we made ds, the other night. It was incredibly uncomfortable...and impersonal as there are no good positions for us. We've never been successful in "wild kingdom" pose, and he isn't good at thinking outside the box - even with a book. Needless to say I am glad he is on night shift and it isn't a option right now since he isn't here. I wanted the spermies to soften things up...so sadly I faked it a few times knowing he wouldn't stop until I had a good time...after 10 years of marraige, I can't believe he can't tell the diff?!

I love that song! That song is The Bad Touch, though, not Scooby Snacks.

I love the chorus:
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel

That's so great for this thread, thanks for bringing it up!

It's been a few weeks for me & dh He doesn't mind being used, so I think I'll have to start doing more of that soon.

I am totally happy about one thing today, which is that we figured out a position that doesn't 1) squash the belly and make me wanna vom 2) kill my pelvis because of stupid spd.

If I just lean over something and he's behind me it's so much better. We'd been doing 'wild kingdom' off the side of the bed, him standing on the floor and it just was sooo painful because he kept knocking in to the front of my pelvis. So I'm ecstatic to have finally found something we can do from here on out- because I am getting desperate. lol

First, I LOVE calling doggie style "watching X-files" ! I'm a big fan (and can't wait for the movie by the way).

I went a week overdue with DD and I made DH "watch the X-files" with me every night I was overdue. Like some of the other moms said, it didn't do anything but keep me up all night with painful cramping. For me, the during part wasn't nearly as bad as the hours of cramping afterwards.

I'm 3 days overdue with this baby and I basically won't let poor DH anywhere near me. I'm still convinced "watching the X-files" only made me miserable with my last pregnancy and did very little to induce labor.

Thanks for the thread. It made me laugh

This thread has gotten very silly and I LOVE IT!! :

We still DTD, but it's just not as fun as it used to be. We have a few comfortable positions but they are all from behind and just not very snuggley.

Luckily DH has short legs so standing still works. When my legs are too cramped up for me to be on my tippy toes, we use the "sexy couch." One time we went around the whole house trying to find a piece of furniture at the right hight for back-entrance without me standing and the "sexy couch" was the only one that worked.

Sometimes, though, just as DH would say, "It's a lot of work for not that much fun."

we've had the same difficulties, but have been doing it everyday. usually tho, my orgasm will help my uterus chill out but yesterday i didn't get to and i had contrx and pressure all nite.

I love the phrase "medical sex." Ha!

We've been doing what I've called, "Medically-indicated BJs." Since the soft pallette is a pressure point for stimulating labor. LOL - my doula said she recommends thumb-sucking to stimulate the soft pallette to keep labor moving. I told her when DH & I heard of that pressure point, we both immediately thought of the other way to stimulate it. Ha - she said she hadn't thought of that one.

But I'm GBS positive & so we're reluctant to have sex now that I could go into labor any minute (I'm 40W 1D). If more vaginal exams push the bacteria up into the uterus, I'm sure sex must too. My doula says not to worry about it.. but I'd rather play it more safe.

Thankfully, I can still have my orgasms! (aren't they supposed to help get labor going too? By releasing oxytocin).

Well, DH and I tried the "wild kingdom" last week and that was an utter failure. It seems like he doesn't get in very well that way. I think it might be because I am taller then DH? I don't know.

Mentally I really want to DTD to get things going but it is such an unpleasant experience and it is hot here, like over 100 degrees.

It's like "Hmm, do I want to get bounced around in 100 degree heat and then have some lovely semen dripping from vagina while I try to get some sleep? Oh yeah, the answer would be no, I don't really want to do that..."
