Anyone else nesting like there is no tomorrow?

In the past two days I have cleaned all of the floors in my house, washed all the babies clothes/diapers, organized the baby area of my bedroom, reorganized and deep-cleaned the kitchen (including vacuuming the stove,) dropped off 9 rolls of undeveloped film, gone to the grocery store 3 times, reorganized my bookshelf, reorganized all of my CDs and managed not to ask DH for a bit of help (he is working really hard day and night to finish a work project that needs to be done before arrival!) Oh and I was at a bar-b-que for half the day yesterday!

However I'm terrified this baby isn't going to come for another couple of weeks and I'm going to be bored to death! I'm 39 and 2 and am so so ready to welcome this little one to the world!!!

I was certainly partaking in some nesting behavior today. I even roped poor DH into it. I was a bit of a drill sergeant. I made him move the furniture around in the basement and clean out the window wells. I'm having baby in the basement and there was no way I was going to do it staring at a bunch of leaves in the windows!

It was no surprize that after lunch he snuck away to chat with the neighbors and then go shopping. He needed the break, I was quite the nag today.

I've been nesting like crazy... OMG, my house is CLEAN! And of COURSE, no one comes over. The in-laws and guests only come when it's a mess. It figures, right? Well, here's what I've done...
1. Finally cleaned out 5 months worth of newspaper (that I intended on recycling), a box's worth of plastic grocery bags, and a ton of non-working miscellaneous junk out from the cabinets under our bar. I've just never worried about it before because I had child-locks on there and, well, didn't know how the heck to unlock the dang things. I mean, I knew how, but it was a pain.
2. Cleaned out the car. Okay, I didn't mean to do this, but I needed the little blue trash can out of the car because it goes in our bathroom (we had it in there for Ciara's visit and the Savannah trip). So I figured, hey, I'm out here, let me throw all the trash into the trash can before I go in. So car's clean.
3. Cleaned the top shelf in our laundry room. I did have a box up there that I was using as an improvised trash receptacle, and it had months worth of dryer lint in it. I've never seen so many pretty colors of fuzz! Anyway, I have a REAL trash can in my laundry room now (since the blue one from the car is in the guest bath, I was able to take that green one, which didn't match the bathroom, and put it in the laundry room).
4. Kept everything UP. Yeah, all the laundry is done and folded except what's washing now. All the dishes are done except my cereal bowl from lunch. Everything is clean except Boo's play area, and even that isn't too bad. (Speaking of that, I don't know what I'm going to do when 2e arrives... I am SO anal about where it all goes, I don't think I could let anyone else touch it!)
5. Got the rest of the baby stuff... all here or on the way. I ordered the Nekkie Blankie (the HUGE sized one, so all 3 of us can fit on it!), ordered 3 carriers (2 of which have arrived). When all is said and done, carrier wise, I will have: A ring sling (SBP Mineral Indio, size small), a pouch (black hotslings), a wrap (Black & white Indio 5), a pod (black straps, body is silver waves), and 2 mei tais (MOM tai and Babyhawk). I'll have stash pics up when the Babyhawk arrives... if it arrives before 2e anyway! And I also finally went to Nature's Cure to get Gripe Water and Rescue Remedy (since having it on my "neonatal recusitation" page is useless if I don't have it on hand, right?)
6. The Emergency Hospital Transfer bag is packed, including final "birth plan" and prenatal care records.
7. WD-40 on ALL the doors. Yep. So I can sneak around at 2am and Boo won't wake up. Of course running a bath will wake him up, but you know...

I'm usually too busy playing with my kids to care about housework, but I've traded kid-playing for housework. Although at this point, I've cleaned, recleaned, rerecleaned, rererecleaned again and I think I'm finally out of energy to clean any more!

But then... the floors need another sweeping... the kitchen needs some attention. Hmmm... maybe I can bust out one more deep cleaning here...

I was scrubbing the bathroom two nights ago, around 1am. My daughter thought I was nuts!

I'm obsessed with scrubbing all the dirty little handprints off my walls and doorjambs. and today I scrubbed the rings out of my toilets with a pumice stone. Clean toilet bowls! Yey! Can't have a baby without that....oh, and I took apart my stove yesterday and srubbed it down...it was so yukky!

i just finished scrubbing my bathroom sink...again...the third time in as many days! i've done everything there is to do, so i'm inventing stuff. my couch cushion covers have all been washed twice this week! speaking of, i need to go get them and put them back on my couch now...

i've been nesting since like 36 weeks. now i'm 40+2 and WAIIIIIITING! the house already got messy and needed recleaning 2 times.

I've just given up on cleaning. I clean something and it's a mess by the end of the day. It doesn't bother me too much, but I'd like the house to be nice looking when my mom has to stay here for a night with the kids!

Not me! When I clean or tidy something (this has been the case for the last week or so) I'm like a tiger whose tail has been tweaked if anyone messes it up! I get SO annoyed! Washing dishes, washing clothes right now and heaven help anyone who unfolds something after I fold it or hasn't searched pockets before giving me clothes to wash or has left their socks in little balls...

Not me either - curious. I usually deal with uncertainty by grabbing hold of a rag and going at the tub or the floors. I guess because it's so blasted hard to bend over or crouch, I'm less apt to care much about what's under the stove.

Mentally, I guess I'm nesting. I think about cleaning stuff... does that count?

Send over some of that nesting energy! Makes me wonder if I'm further off from birthing time than I thought...

My house is clean, I spent yesterday picking up some odds and ends from babies r us. I spent way more than I meant to, and didn't actually get the 2 things I went for- a boppy and a changing table pad.
So then when we got home there's a post card in the mail for them for 10% off completing my registry. Darnit!
Oh well, maybe I can use it towards the boppy and changing pad lol.

Oh, and I keep re-organizing my bedroom, which is also where all the baby stuff is. We're planning to co-sleep, but did get a crib 2nd hand from a friend. So I keep trying to figure out the best placement of the crib, our couch, the hamper, diapering stuff, extra clothes, etc.

I wish I had room for a dresser in there for the baby's clothes. Do you think it would be ok to stick the larger sizes down in the bottom of the pack n play? I have the bassinet thingy on it now, so there's like 6-8 inches high of empty space the whole of the pack n play. I don't really know where else to put the extra stuff so the room doesn't look junky.

We live in a house from 1916, so closet space is pretty much non-existent. lol
