Hiring a teacher

Thread Starter
My small group of friends and I are considering hiring a teacher to lead a nature based kindergarten class this fall to supplement with homeschooling and to give us moms some free time a couple mornings a week. Is anyone here familiar with the legal and tax issues involved with doing this at one of our homes?

Thanks!

It can be different in every state and can differ according to what legal option you use. Where are you? - Lillian

I have a friend who has a "one room school house". She is a certified teacher, who taught two children in her home besides her own last school year. Here in Ohio, there didn't seem to be any big issues for them.
