Cleaning a chair that requires water free solvent

Thread Starter
I recently purchased two chair second hand. They are beautiful chairs, but they need a good cleaning. The tag says to use only water free solvent on them. To me that equals chemicals. I got a fantastic deal on them and don't want to give them up, but I want to be able to clean them! Does anyone have any experience with this type of fabric?

Is there a place in the back that would not be noticable that you could test with whatever cleaning method you have in mind? Water-free solvent means dry cleaning to me. Don't know of any natural alternative for that...
