I'm still out here. Haven't been around here for the last 2 weeks, busy at work and trying to curb my internet use at work. To tired to get on at home, i usually take a nap after work. I'm currently fighting some kind of cold bug. sore throat, headache, general malaise..ugh. It's always something.

My #6 had her bday yesterday (8yrs old), well we celebrated on Sat. She wanted to get her ears pierced since her last bday, so I took her in. She didn't think the soreness would be as bad as I had told her. Kinda shocked her, but she is doing better. She is always looking in the mirror admiring her ears...lol!

Itchiness: my belly is about the only thing itchy, but my belly salve works well to curb the itchies.

I'm 25 weeks yesterday, other than being sick, i'm doing well. Baby moves like crazy, with very strong kicks. Going to get the car seat next weekend, have a good stash of clothing, still working on my diaper stash. Still have a lot of things to get but slowly getting there.

Dahlea- Thanks for explaining about the hypnobabies, it does explain a lot. also, about the tiny mole like things, on your nipples I agree about the montgomery's tubercles, but on your breasts, they could be anything from real moles, which can grow faster because of hormones, to tiny whiteheads/blocked pores. Your oil production changes, and so does your skin's ph. I have some tiny skin tags under my arms, where my breasts rub against my bra, they're just skin colored, but stick out a bit.


My itchies are bad today, mostly because it's about 85% humidity, and we have no AC. THat makes my psoriasis worse, and my prego-itchies worse too.

No itches here other than my typical not using enough moisturizer for Co skin issues...

But, I do have a skin tag on my inner thigh I've grow since getting pregnant this time. It's kinda gross.

Well I had the u/s today. I will scan the pictures on here later and we are having boy #2! It was a total surprise for me!!!

The tech said that from measurments etc. my due date is September 30th, which I am contemplating taking just because of my history of preterm labor, so if I go a week early, I can still have my homebirth. And if I go late I will just lovingly remind my MW that I know when I ovulated

Great news Maryann! That's one of the awesome things about being in the care of a MW....they're much more open to fudging due dates!!

Im definitely staying put in October. Im hoping for my original due date Although it is kinda cool I am up a week so now I would 28 weeks instead of 27...

I've been lurking and have been meaning to post a personal introduction soon. I'll do that in a minute. I just wanted to chime in on the braxton hicks conversation. My experience as a doula and childbirth educator (birthing from within) has shown me that often women get a bit dehydrated and can start having BH's. Some rest, hydration, stress reduction, and sometimes loading up with minerals helps. It's funny, though some mamas really experience these stonger than others. I'm feeling them frequently now. (2nd baby) I'll read on to see if you have other insights...

Just saying hi. I'm learning the specifics of how to post, bear with me. So, I'm excited to be welcoming #2 in October. We won't be finding out the sex, although it's feeling girlish. My 3 1/2 year old son has named this baby "Baby Tree." He is hilarious and likes to play "let's have our babies." He says, you be the midwife and I'll push the baby out. Child of a doula for you.

Welcome, Marcela. My dd loves to play midwife too...she always asks me if I'm going to have my baby today. Then when we pretend she tells me to push and I have to remind her a midwife would never tell a mom when to push b/c the mommy knows when to.

It sure is fun sharing the new baby experience with our little ones. There are some really great forums around here so make sure you check them all out and if you have specific questions about posting there is a questions and suggestions board at the top, you'll get the fastest answer there most of the time.

how cute. we are soo undecided about names..my 10 yo refers to the baby as "TBA"..he's so silly! not as cute a story as yours but it cracks me up! (im pretty easy). lol!

That is hilarious! It's so funny to hear a child's view of pregnancy and birth. Isn't it amazing how differently they think than adults?
