Mid to Late July TWW - Page 2

Is it possible to O w/o a significant rise in temperature? I could have sworn I O'd yesterday (this is my first month temping), but temps this AM were low still, 96.8. It's CD 18 for me so I'm starting to worry since I typically have a 28-30 day cycle. FF has given me the green light (due, I imagine to CM data), but no crosshairs.

Oh yeah. It's called "slow rise." There's tons of them on FF.

I have my IUI on or about the 17th. That would mean about the 2WW would end at the end of July, so I guess testing on July 31st?

Phantaja, can I be added please? I'm going to say July 22nd, by then dear AF will be late. I probably won't last that long, but we are planning to be away the next 2 weekends so hopefully that will calm the temptation to test earlier!

I actually told DH that I wasn't testing any more until AF was at least a week late, but I'll never manage that!

I may have the slow rise thing too. I dunno. I got a positive opk two days ago and had fertile mucus. Then next day ( yesterday) opk was lighter. Temo was lowest 2 days ago but last two days is same as before the low dip.
This month we just had sex 2 days ago ( on the day I got the pos opk) and 2 days before that but not since cause we are tring for less is more.
We have considered doing it again since my temp isn't high yet- but my mucus feels drier and my cervix lower and we are hoping we got it right the first time.

I always wonder if doing it after it may have worked will knock out the successful conception. Do you think it does? After so many months of trying it we have to try something different this time!
Also- I am trying to relax.

just ovulated yesterday (I think)...so count me in!

I'll probably test in 12-14 days (on the 23rd)....(unfortunately) my luteal phase hasn't been that long lately. If I go past 10 days I will be highly suspicous that I'm pregnant.

My timing was off, I think. I'm pretty sure that I ovulated yesterday, however we DTD Sunday and today, but not yesterday or the day before. :

Anyone know anything about semen? If it's really thick, is it any good for conception?

Phantaja, I would think if you DTD sunday and O'd Tuesday, you're still very much in the running! I don't know too much about how the sperm needs to be, though.

So FF moved my O date over one day - it had dashed crosshairs on the 5th, but I temped today and my temp went up again by .2, so it gave me definite crosshairs for Oing on the 6th. Woohoo, since we DTD on the 5th and 7th. Hopefully this will be good. I hate obessing though. I get so excited thinking about the possibility of being pregnant that my heart races, and I don't want my body to get stressed!

You can't knock it out. If you BD and the sperm travel into your uterus they are out of harm's way. The idea of every other day vs. every day has more to do with studies on sperm count than any danger of causing harm to the previous batch of swimmers. Some studies say that men (especially those with slightly lower sperm count) have a higher sperm count when they have sex every other day as compared to everyday. However, much longer than every other day actually lowers the sperm count. All this said, it sound like you're both pretty young and fresh and unless there's something else going on, your DH's count is probably okay for either every day or every other day.

Okay, so I've been temping with a normal digital thermometer, which seemed to be working fine, but now it's beeping at me weird and I don't know if it's working properly. If I was going to go out and buy a BBT do you think it would confuse the data if I started using it mid-cycle? Should I just wait this one out with the wonky digital?

Well i got my crosshairs! This has been such a strange month. My temps were very even at first, then my CM, O-pain, and temp rise did not match up, next a fallback, and now it looks like i will have a slow rise. wtf. why all at once. I really think i oed Sat, but it looks like it does not really matter.
