What would you/have you made your dad for a gift?

I need some ideas, please.

depending on when/what you need the gift for.... i generally crochet so

blanket, socks, hat/scarf

Ok - this is a bit cheesy.

But when I was 12 or 13 I made a clock in shop class (basically a wooden plaque with a clock "kit" mounted on it). He still has it on his wall 18 years later.

My dad's a realtor, and I just tie-dyed him a half dozen hankies.

I made my dad home made bubble bath one year for Christmas. (In the winter he likes to soak in the tub.) I usually make him lots of edibles since he's got almost everything he could ever want and then some. One year I made him a calendar with car and motorcycle pics to hang in his garage (he's a car nut). Last year I gave him and mom a calendar with the kids on it.
