I had a midwife appointment on Wednesday and when she checked me she told me that she was almost positive that I wouldn't make it until Saturday. Which was good news because I was sure that nothing had progressed. Anyway, so Wednesday night I went on a pretty intense power walk with some family and towards the end I started having some pain accompanying my contractions. (I squatted through each contraction, and they were about 8 minutes apart) Anyway, on the ride home, which is about 10 minutes, I had two intense contractions that were accompanied by even more pain.. I'm assuming because I was sitting. For the next three hours I had these intense contractions... they would start out as my whole belly tightening and then once it was super tight, my abdomen would start aching like menstrual cramps, then once that was intense, it would move around to my back and that would start up... all of this would happen in the minute to minute and a half that the contraction would last. From start of one contraction to start of the next, it was averaging about 3 1/2 minutes. I was SURE I was in labor! As soon as my brother-in-law and sister-in-law came out to the living room, they petered out. (They are staying with us while visiting) I was so bummed I could barely stand it! The whole time they were going on I was wondering, could this really be it? This could really be it!!! I even went to wake up my husband to tell him that I thought he should find someone to cover his shift in the morning... thank goodness he wanted to wait! Ugh! It was so aggravating!!! With my son I had absolutely NO false labor, so this is so upsetting to me!
