I finally finished! This is a gift for the woman who taught me how to knit. I picked the pattern on the advice of MDC knitters. The yarn is Malabrigo in Verdes colorway.
I started in December and worked on it on and off. I am so happy it is finished. It is going in the mail tomorrow :

Oh, it's beautiful. I love love love the color green and that colorway is just making me swoon.

I was just thinking about Clapotis today and how I can't wait to make one.

Lovely work!

Oh that's just beautiful! How many skeins did you end up using all together?

Thank you! It is the my biggest project yet. I am happy

I used four skeins.

I blocked it to be more rectangular, as opposed to the wavy look shown on knitty. I hope that wasn't a mistake. It just looked so messy the other way. Definitely more of a wrap than a scarf IMO.

She will be really surprised. She lives across the country and she has no idea I continued knitting after she taught me the basics and bought me my first needles.

Absolutely gorgeous!! I'm trying to imagine getting such a lovely gift, unexpectedly, in the mail.... What a wonderful thing to do. And I agree, that colorway looks marvelous in that pattern.

I'm adding it to my queue now, too!
