Sorry, i was reading the Feb 09 ddc,and looking at thier belly pics, all the mamas are SKINNY. Ugh, I would not post my belly pic ever, cause obviously there are no other overweight mamas here

I look 7 months preg all the time. Dont worry, your not alone.

I'm overweight. I used to be obese, though, so I'm actually almost proud to say that I'm overweight now! I had been working on losing weight before I got pregnant, and I'm down 30 pounds from my highest weight. I had hoped to lose another 20 or so, but I'm happy to be pregnant now, so I'm not really complaining! It would've been nice to have lost it beforehand, but it's okay. Anyway, I have stretch marks and saggy boobs, and I haven't even had a baby yet.

I am not huge, but I am overweight. I am trying to lose weight, by watching what I eat and exercise, so we'll see how this goes with the pregnancy and all. I *hope* that instead of having cravings, I don't want anything I usually eat

You are not alone. I am overweight too, and tall, so it may take me quite awhile to really "show". I think that if my belly ends up popping out enough & I really look pregnant (not just fat), I may post pics. Otherwise.... eh.... not so much. I am a shutterbug, so I will take pics for myself at the least, but we shall see about posting.

Overweight here, too! Borderline obese, actually, according to the BMI chart. I was overweight my last pregnancy as well. I was really careful about how much weight I gained, but I'm kind of dreading the thought of constantly monitoring this time around. So I don't know. I'm trying to eat really healthy. I'm going to walk more once I'm not so totally exhausted and it's not so freakin' hot outside.

Oh, and I already can't hold my tummy in anymore. I feel like I'm showing at 5.5 weeks.

You are so not alone. I still have about 20 pounds that I wanted to loose. I could pass for a good 4-5 months pg now (. I will only be posting pic much, much later.

yup, that's about how I would describe myself.

And to mikeyandbailey, i have also been lurking in the feb 09 ddc (don't know why...)!

i can't "suck it in" anymore either (I'm 6 weeks)-- i've had a couple looks lately....from people who don't know yet.

We are off to australia for 2 weeks this weekend, so we'll see what I look like when I get back!

Trust me, you're missing the big picture here-- not every mama-to-be is posting her photos! I, for one, haven't posted any images yet, and I'm in the Feb 09 DDC. I'm not overweight per say, but am not so comfortable with my belly that I want to post pictures of it yet! Maybe when it's rounded from pregnancy and not just rounded, YK? I bet that the majority of women in *every* DDC actually feel the way that you (and I) do, and it's the brave minority that are putting up pictures.

*sits in the corner with you guys*

I won't post pics until I'm obviously pregnant. It'll be awhile.

I am overweight as well, I am down 20 pounds from where I was when I got pregnant with DS, but I still need to lose 30 to 40 pounds. I was really pleased to just gain 8 pounds with DS and I am hoping to pull that off again (or under 15 at least), but who knows. I did kind of want to be a bit thinned before getting pregnant this time, but I am definitely not anywhere near thin, and won't likely be posting pictures at all (I never even took a belly picture with DS, I think I have one picture of me while pregnant and that was at my baby shower).

I'm a curvy mama. Probably about 20 lbs overweight or so. Even more now because I seemed to have gained some poundage in the past couple weeks. And I will probably be posting pics at some point. Be proud, mama!!!

Well, why DONT we overweight mamas post pics? I plan to take belly pics every 5 weeks. Wont be much of a belly pic this week thou, lol.

I agree, we're big and beautiful and more of us to love Let's post our pictures. I am TERRIFIED of showing my belly, but it won't hurt anything to show off our bellies Let's do it!!!

Before I was ever pregnant, I was abour 130lbs at the most, then when I got pregnant the first time, I gained 50 lbs in the first 12 weeks before I miscarried. I didn't get a chance to lose it and instead gained MORE, so when I was pregnant with ds I was 220 starting out, and shot up to 260 at 9 months. Now I am down to 220 I do believe now, my goal is to only gain 20 lbs this pregnancy. I do miss being able to go into the store, go straight to the jr's section, just grab something off the rack, buy and it KNOW it would fit

Any of you already feel your pants tightening like I do? I did the old hair band trick today b/c I'm so bloated, and I'm hoping it holds up at work. I went ahead and ordered a couple of bella bands from Amazon. I don't think they'll get here until Friday, though.

: Lurking from Feb'09 DDC...

Don't worry guys--you should post no matter what you look like! If you're not comfortable, obviously don't do it, but it really will be fun to have a "before" photo.

I'm usually really shy about this kind of thing, but I'm trying to get used to it so that when I have to spread my legs and push in front of a half dozen people it won't seem so bad....

I am a big mama too. but, I have lost 40lbs since January. I was the same size I am now when Cy was born, and I weighed 10lbs more at the end of my pregnancy than I did at the beginning. I did not worry at all about my weight then, but had made a concious effort to eat healthier (even thought as dh reminded me yesterday, I seriously craved chocolate) and to try to walk at least every other day before I was put on bedrest.

I may get brave and post belly pics later, but not now

Pictures of my belly...not so much. I saw a thing on a mainstream parenting site of post partum mamas belly pics. Sooooo depressing, utterly flat women looking young and sleek. I didn't look like that before my ds let alone after!

My belly is not my best feature, though I will be happy to post pictures of my bazoombas throughout my pregnancy. Frankly, they are awesome!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with tight pants. I put on a pair of capris today and was all at how tight they were. Seriously, I'm not even 6 weeks! They fit fine last week! Hopefully I haven't put on that much weight in a week.

So I haven't gained a pound but I can't button my pants. It is like all of a sudden my belly protruded the whole thing from just under breasts down. I have a bunch of elastic waist pants for cold weather.

What is the hair band trick or bella bands?

I'm just average weight 135.
