Rainwashing

Does anyone rainwash laundry?

I rainwashed a large, cotton, comforter a few days ago and I was very happy with the results...My alternative would have been to have it drycleaned because of it's size but I am not comfortable with the chemicals used by our cleaner.

I've never done this intentionally, but I did spend a whole summer rainwashing my hair. I had a perm (it was 1987), and I would just stick my head in a bucket of rainwater that had collected under our deck. I did this every other day or so. My hair was SO soft that summer.
