Making a wet bag...I thought this was going to be easy...

Ok, so I am trying to make a small zippered wetbag for when we are out and I am having a hard time with it! Sewing the PUL with right sides together is so difficult. I have used PUL before in diaper making and not had a problem, but I think because I am trying to sew PUL or PUL, it keeps puckering like crazy. I have tried making a bigger stitch and messing with the tension, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Also, I was hoping to make this bag have a cute outer layer of cotton, but I am trying to figure out how to sew both layers to the zipper without allowing the cotton to poke inside the bag and cause wicking. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes! I have suggestions - thankfully, because it is awful!!! I was struggling last week, and found this page. I ended up using a walking foot, and it worked great!

Here is a tutorial for making a lined zippered pouch, that should help you with your second problem.

Good luck!!
