BumGenius One Size vs gDiaper

I want to go cloth. I like the gDiaper bc it's cotton, but a friend of mine switched from gDiaper to BG One-Size because the gDiaper didn't fit her dd very well. My ds is built tall and thin (28" and 16.5#), whereas her dd is tall and chubby (27" and 18#). She swears by the BGs, but I am hesitant to buy them bc they're not cotton. I guess I'm not sold on polyester bc I think it might lead to diaper rash.

Help! Advice? Pros/Cons.

I have both of those diapers, and definitely prefer the BG over the two. The gdiapers are OK, but the disposable inserts they sell tend to bunch up and leak. They don't work for us for naps at all. I have some prefolds and other cloth inserts I also use in the gdipes that work a bit better. I still think the BGs are a much more reliable dipe (I rarely get leaks). My kids aren't too prone to diaper rash, so I can't really comment on that. Maybe a fitted with a cover would work better for you in that case.
