Pregnant after TTC for 12+ months!

So I promised the ladies over on the TTC board that I would start this thread, and I am a lady of my word.

Due Date: 3/16/09
How long TTC: 18 months straight, but on and off for a few years before that.
How did you finally conceive: Through IVF/ICSI/AH
Anything else you want to share?
Well I am scared to death!! Ive had a few m/c in the past and it took us a long time to finally get pregnant. My first Beta today was 84 which the Dr assures me is a good number, but I'm not sure I'll stop worrying until the baby is in my arms

I'm another one of us pregnant after 12+ months TTC. I'm glad there are other people like me here (well, glad in that I have company, not glad that other people had to go through this).

I'm scared, too.

At least 18 months here [though in reality, we haven't used b.c. since DS was born in 4/04], though we finally got pregnant without medical intervention: maca root, acupuncture, yoga, other supplements... not sure what finally did the trick, but here I am! Cautiously very excited.

4 1/2 years TTC here!
We did IVF also, with ICSI (standard at our clinic. This was our first IVF cycle.
My EDD is 3/13
Had my first beta today 18dpo 681! :

I'm so happy I can't quit smiling and crying.

So happy for you ladies! We got pregnant after 17 cycles (many of those months long.... so yeah, probably about 2 yrs) w/ our 16 month old daughter. Never used birth control since she was born and got my first (faint, eek!) BFP yesterday! I sure hope those lines keep getting darker!!!

We were TTC from the time my son was born two years ago. We TTC him for over 3. Taking soy was what finally worked this time.

I just found out this morning and it's taking some time to sink in. I already have two crazy boys and totally expect another. Plus, we just found a puppy last night and we are adopting her today. I must be crazy!

How long TTC: We quit using b/c in Nov 07, so 20mos.
How did you finally conceive: I've been receiving chiropractic and acupuncture care since late April. I think the acupuncture is what regulated my cycle.
Anything else you want to share? Nothing I can think of.

I think soy did the trick for us, too. I had very regular ovulation and a decent luteal phase, and I actually came to suspect we were dealing with a sperm issue. I read that soy, like clomid, could cause more than one egg to be released and that could give sperm an extra "target," which can help when there are decreased numbers of sperm. Lo and behold, the first month I used the soy...here I am!
