Fairy Wings? Can someone help me make some??

I want to make some fairy wings. I'm trying to deconstruct them and figure out how to build them...but I'm not so inclined.

Can someone help me?? What do you use- hangers? And then what do you stretch over it and how do you fasten it over?

I made some with 4 wire hangers, duct tape and knee highs. I just bent the triangle part of the hanger out and taped the straightened hanger part together so that there were two hangers one on top of the other making one wing on each side. I covered the taped part with a bit of fabric and added the tie. It was a bit of a pain and I sort of quit before they were done to my liking, but I am sure if I worked on it they would have been nicer.
