Please tell me this is early labor...

I've been consistently getting contractions since 7 pm last night. They have ranged from 4-8 minutes apart, like 30 seconds long. Most have been pretty painless, but a few have been uncomfortable, especially if I was laying down.

I managed to get some sleep last night, although not a very good sleep. This feels different from all the false labor I was having which I could not time.

Thoughts? Can I expect them to get painful soon? When do I call the midwife? TIA.

I don't know but just wanted to offer a . The regularity and consistency sounds very good though!

I know for a hospital birth they like you to come in when they are 3 minutes apart, 1 minute long for 1 hour, I think. But I don't know about homebirth midwifes.

I hope this is it for you and you have your baby boy in your arms very soon

As you know, every labour is different. But it sounds like your body is definitely preparing for your baby to be born. Rest as much as you can, and be sure to keep drinking. Being dehydrated can cause false labour with lots of contractions, or stall true labour.

All the best!

I'm hoping this is it for you, but it could just be more false labor. I have been having ctx every 5 minutes, lasting 1-2 minutes for weeks now...and nothing.
