This is just to say
That I have discovered
When one is awakened
To discover
That your three year old
Has opened your nightgown
To nurse
And then turned
And put your nipple between her big and second toes
And is twisting,
Well, it hurts.
Forgive me.
The pain was exquisite
And I yelled.
Gentle words failed
At four thirty in the morning.
