Aluminum in deodorant ques

What's the scoop on aluminum in deordorant? Is it only certain types of aluminum that are the problem? Like those found in commercial deordorant? I've been buying Kiss My Face and it has aluminum as well. It's not the same type of aluminum found in say, Secret, but it is aluminum nonetheless. Should I be ditching the Kiss My Face as well???

I'd ditch it. There are much better options than that, and w/out any aluminum. Try the crystal (but detox first!) it is the best, imho and easy to use. Plus it's so cheap (like 6 bucks and last over a year!)

I really didn't think the crystal would work, but I gave it a try yesterday with a true test. I moved the boys carseats from the truck back to my car in 90 degree heat in the sun. I was roasting, but I didn't get stinky! I used the spray crystal by Naturally Fresh.

Leslie/LemonJuice...why do you need to detox first? I didn't...is there something I should do?

For a lot of people it doesn't work at first b/c of all the toxins built up from regular mainstream deodorant (that they keep in you instead of letting your body release) . So some use the crystal thinking it doesn't work b/c your body needs to release all the junk naturally. What I found works best (if you have used it and still "stink") is to use nothing (I know..nothing!) for 2 weeks or so and wash pits w/ baking soda in the shower during this time. It may not take this long for some..but it gets all the toxins out and cleans your pits well. Then use the crystal and POOF! It works like a charm

btw...don't use the crystal if you're dirty or it has worn off, or you skip a shower for whatever reason. It only works on clean skin Dh used it after a looooong day for him and put it on like regular deodorant...while he was stinky and stank up the crystal! I had to rinse it and the smell was gone..but eek...it stuck!

Yeah, it can be bad. That was actually the reason I switched to the crystal spray. I always *thought* I put it on clean skin, but I must have left a funky bacterium on it or something that just spread like crazy. But the spray? Loooove it! :
