Ugh, that's what I was afraid to hear

. The thing is that with his new job it's a 10/99 job so they don't have insurance so we have to get private insurance. Any idea of something that is affordable, yet has good coverage? We are using that for now only because it gave us extension of the benefits he had from work which included prenatal - which I needed since I was already pregnant and most companies won't let you switch mid-pregnancy or it's considered "an existing condition" and they won't cover it

Just so I'm not looking at everyone else's numbers and not adding my own, I'm going to add mine too so everyone knows what I'm "comparing" to.
Rent - 1200
Cobra - 515
Golden Rule - 147
Car Insurance - 117
Electricity - 154
Cable - 49
Cellphone - 108
Water - 110
Rent is on a three story (including the basement) house with 3BR/2BA. It's only a couple of minutes drive (literally, like 2 minutes) from a main city, we have a fenced in yard (not sure of the size either). And also includes a one car garage and an outside building we can (but don't currently) use for storage.
Car insurance is on one car with one person covered. Hubby had to have an SUV for his job, so it's on a Honda Pilot.
Cellphone is the bill for two people, through Verizon.
And water is local water instead of having to be brought in from surrounding areas.
The water and electricity were high for the particular month he has the amounts saved for as it was our first month here and includes all kinds of other fees that we normally wouldn't be having to pay.
