We live in the Seattle area. All of my numbers are the average for the past 12 months

Rent
$2253 (Mortgage) + $46 (HOA) = $2299

Health Insurance
$0 (excellent coverage through DP's work. Some dental bills, lots of OTC allergy costs)

Car Insurance
$102 (averaged between two carriers, last year was $123/month, next year will be $89/month because we switched to Progressive mid year)

Electricity
$104 --- includes Natural Gas

Cable
Don't have

Cellphone
$0 as our Chrismtas & Birthday gifts each year, DP's parents give us 6 months of service on their family plan. So, that would be around $25-30/month including taxes (DP has unlimited texting)

Housing $635 (0% interest mortgage) but add condo assoc dues $208 (Mortgage is WAY cheap for this area- ask me how! 5 bedroom townhouse)
Health Insurance hmm.. not sure, deducted from paycheck $280? (slightly less because I pay 9 months at $280 for a year's coverage Prob $250/month avg) dp's is less, but has less max coverage. His is secondary. We both are required to pay for this through our employment, so not really optional..
Car Insurance $155/month - includes condo insurance (extra added over basic), full coverage for 1 car, basic for 2nd car both are for two drivers.
Electricity $60/month? not sure, overpaid awhile ago, so haven't paid in months.
Cable Free with regular phone service- basic cable channels
Cellphone got a grant for low income people $5/month
Water included in condo dues.

I know this wasn't listed, but my heat is the biggest- $100-$200/month depending on month. I think it will be cheaper in the long run next year, because January is always the most expensive month and we were in the middle of finishing construction this Jan- ie no front door for TWO DAYS, etc.

I'm in Canada, so some of it is a bit different...

Mortgage: $580 - 2 bedroom 1 bath with finished basement that has an extra bedroom. I think we paid about $450 for a year of house insurance, and $30/month for mortgage insurance, required by our bank- this also has life/critical illness insurance that would pay off our house if anything happened, but we don't have general life insurance.
Health Insurance: Mostly covered since I'm in Canada, but about $40 a month for 'extras' like $600 each massage/chiro etc, vision, and some dental.
Car Insurance: $118 for a 2005 malibu. Insurance is through government, so we have no choice
Electricity: $180. This is combined Natural Gas (hot water tank) and electricity (includes furnace) We're on a budget plan that evens it out, but we should get 100-200 back in august.
Cable: $30 - It's a bundled package of high speed internet, home phone with some features, and a decent tv package for $100 including tax.
Cellphone - $30 - only one of us has one.
Water: We get a bill every three months, but I don't think we usually pay more than about $20 per month. I'm surprised this is so cheap though. I'm known for my long showers. But I do live near a massive massive lake, and they're putting in a new treatment plant, so it should probably go up.

Oh, there's only two of us here, the house is 750 square feet, and we don't use the basement. We try to be as energy conscious as possible, but still feel our electricity/natural gas is high and are looking into getting it checked.

There's between 2 and 6 six of us here at any given time (DH and I, my two stepkids who divide their time between us and their mom, my 18 yo BIL, who's in an out as the wind blows, and DH's aunt, who, with the grace of God, will be leaving in 17 days)

We live in Detroit

Rent: 600 for a 2000 sq foot loft (a total steal. This guy has no clue what his place is worth. We moved here from a 1 bdrm, 700 sq foot place 1.5 miles away that we paid over 1k for)

Childcare - $800 per month

I live in Iowa.

Mortgage - $810
Health Insurance - I have no idea since it comes right out of DH's paycheck
Car Insurance - $500/year (we both have old cars and only pay to fix the other person's car. I can't remember what that's called.)
Electricity - ~$50
gas - $40-$150
Cable - we don't have cable
Internet - $50 (we're switching providers though b/c that's just insane)
House Phone - $17ish
Cellphone - $40
Water/trash/sewer/recycling - $50
Gym fees -$44 for two memberships
Parent payment (we borrowed money for our down payment from them and pay them back with interest) - $300

Rent: Mortgage - $2600 including taxes & insurance (we live in a very high COL area -- we bought for under the average price in our area!) 2500 sq feet is our house and also DH's office
Health Insurance: $70 for a family plan
Car Insurance: I think it's about $70/mo -- comprehensive for 1 car
Electricity: We have gas and electricity billed together, I'm not sure what the monthly average will be since we just moved, in our old house it averaged about $80/mo
Cable: $130/mo (includes business-grade Internet for DH's business)
Cellphone: $80 for two cell phones; no landline
Water: $72/mo. This is the minimum amount billed by the city for any customer; if they billed based on actual usage it would cost a lot less.

Garbage service: I think it's $20/mo here for weekly garbage, recycling and yard waste service

Those are our bills, almost exactly, and I realize why - you're in Bellevue. I'm in Gig Harbor. I noticed the pp from the Seattle area was close in numbers also. I swear, this area is crazy!
