Can you be in labor without losing your M plug or having any discharge?

Or do you generally see at least "something" before contractions come on?

My what-seems-like-constant BH contrax are "different" today. And for once, they seem to be actually worse when I lay down on my side. It seems like a tight pulling around my middle, that kind of hurts. But since I haven't seen any anything down below, I assume they are just BH? I always thought you have bloody show before hand.

I'm such a pessamist, I won't "Believe" i'm in labor until I'm crowning... LOL

Oh, I'm such a doufus. I tried to time my contractions using that online contraction master thing earlier, and I forgot to go back and hit the space bar and apparently my last contraction was 48 minutes long. haha....

Well I had bloody show 9 days ago and I haven't had jack diddly happen, so I don't think that it necessarily means anything.

I didn't have any discharge, show or plug until I had been in real labor for about 10 hours.
I know a lot of women don't see a mucus plug or anything like that before labor starts.

I did this the other day!!!

I lost my MP a week ago and nada.

With Ds1 I had PROM but didn't start losing MP or anything until a day later, well after the HellDuction started.

I hope I will be that rare person for whom losing the mucus plug IS a sign of something. This is day 9 of on and off contractions, and day 2 of bloody show. I don't think I can handle another week of this! :

THAT'S when I would be screaming for an epidural!! I've never lost any mp on either of my pregnancies. Just straight ctx and loose bm's.

Yeah, I never lost plug or had my water break until after I was fully entrenched in labor land, and hardly noticed. I wouldn't worry too much, everyone's body goes about this thing in its own way, imho.

I had nothing visible with my 1st and 3rd. With my 2nd I had some mucus once a day or so before, but never any blood.

So I think I started losing my plug tonight - no blood, just.....you know, globs.
Of course, I have work due tomorrow so I'm working tonight to try to finish it up just in case. My husband might have the day off on friday as a freebie which would be PERFECT. I'm still having crazy contractions but just had a spurt of energy enough to vacuum the baby's room again even though no one has walked in there since the last time I vacuumed it... LOL....

Yep. I didn't lose my plug until well into labor, almost transition, and water didn't break until the last moment with DD. I guess she was technically crowning--I don't know--I didn't see it. Every one is different.

I didn't lose mine at all before labor with either!
