I'm glad you have your date Teneal!!!

First Teneal. I can't imagine what it is like to anticipate reliving something like that. I am glad the doc came around - although I'm sure you won't feel good until that babe is in your arms. I will keep you in my prayers.

AFM I had my doc appt this afternoon. After all this prodromal crap do you think he was consoling or slightly concerned. NO. He is very non-committal , which I understand. He doesn't want to say - OMG real labour is really close when realistically this could drag on for 3 more weeks.
Lord help my family if this continues that long!
No cervical check either - I could've asked I guess but we'll see what happens in another week. Baby is still in a good position - head down. Little ticker was really loud today (I love that part!). Still measuring fine (I think 36?) and actually lost some weight this week.
LOTS of discharge today but only a couple BH. BP still good (126/80 - does that sound reasonable?), and I still have ankles! Just feel like I move in slow motion and have bad lower back pain and the achy pelvis. Add a few good cervical zings and it's whiney city LOL!
I am off to the inlaws for dinner - which is great I don't have to cook, but at the same time, by dinner time I am a puddle and just wanna lay down and not worry about being sociable. Oh well, they are great for being inlaws and all! LOL
HAve a good evening all.

Present!
Bad day yesterday. MAJOR diarrhea. Whoa. Also some cramps that felt like real contractions. Today, nada except every once in awhile those low menstrual cramp things. Baby is moving A.LOT. I think I must be one of those ppl who cannot feel bh contractions.
I forget who posted about the IV for GBS+, but I was told that they administer in intervals, so we won't be tied to some stupid IV pole and immobilized. :
38 weeks tomorrow!
Nice reading about all the babies being born, but I can barely keep up with them all! I got home today after a mostly pointless Latin inservice to a zillion (well, seemed like a zillion) posts of baby arrivals.
Tenk: : I cannot even IMAGINE going through that. So glad you found a sympathetic doc.

I had PIH in my last pregnancy. The definition for high blood pressure in pregnancy is if your diastolic and/or systolic #s are running 15 points higher than normal for you consistently. It isn't as much based on the 140/90 of normal high blood pressure diagnosis. But, numbers exceeding that can be concerning. Your upper number is most affected by stress, fear about having your BP taken, and energy output. The bottom number should be more consistent because this is the # when the heart is at rest. Having a consistent increase in either can be a problem to be watched.

Also, very important you make sure they are taking it right. No talking to you, and you should be breathing and relaxing. Your arm should be propped at heart height or held by the taker at that height. The cuff must be the right size for your arm, or it can read too high. There are many factors in taking it that can make it look higher than it is. Please try to relax and not get white coat!! I suffer from white coat and my mw keeps that in mind...

I'm 39 weeks as well and am closed and baby is high (-3 station). I was very bummed as well. I've been having tons of bhs and some contractions and was convinced I was about 1-2 cm dilated. No chance I'm having a hbac and was hoping I was within days of birth. I had a verrrryyy long walk this morning to clear my head and feel more at ease that I may be pregnant for a couple of more weeks at least.

man am i worn the heck out! it was pretty warm here today, and i decided it was a good time to go out and prune some trees. what was i thinking? silly baby is still hanging out posterior, and all day i've just been feeling crampy. i think the cramps are positionally related, but who knows. i've been drinking lots of water, so it's not a hydration issue. if the cramps were coming and going, i'd think it might be labor, but it's more of a constant nuisance. arg. i think i'm just going to pop some tylenol and see if that knocks out whatever this is. maybe it's the babe getting me effaced and ready to go! :

We can stick it out together. I just ate 97% of a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream to the tune of 72 grams of fat.... made me feel better for a few minutes.

I am still here. Fluxuating between real cx and b/h, it seems at Baby's will.

(I am now convinced that Baby has a joybuzzer in there with him/her.)

I just hope this mysery soon ends and I can hold my LO. I told my DH that I am about ready for him to reach in and pull this one out!

It must end sometime...Right?
