Anyone NOT have BH before Labor?

I'm 40W 3D. Since I'm a first-time Mom, I know the actual average pregnancy length is 41W 1D! So I should not be worried... but it's hard not to be. Especially with all the comments from co-workers, "What are you doing here?! You should be having a baby!" Ugh!

Anyway, I've had a 'crampy' feeling off & on down by my cervix for about 10 days now! But it is very localized in my cervix. I haven't felt ANY contraction of the whole uterus. That is, of course, only contributing to my paranoia.

Anyone else not feel any BH contractions prior to real, active labor?

Just because you don't feel them, doesn't mean you aren't having them. My My told me at 37 weeks that I was probably having at least a few an hour- even if I don't feel them.

Some days I still don't feel them at all and I am 41 weeks 1 day. Try not to worry- I am sure your body knows exactly what it is doing.

I did not have BH ctx with my dd. In fact, I did not know what a ctx felt like until I was hooked to pitocin and the doc had broken my water... Now I don't know what a non pitocin ctx feels like...but I have had BH with this child.

I didn't know they didn't hurt! lol! I called my doula and was like "my tummy is really hard...what's going on!??" She informed me that it was indeed a BH contraction...and I had just been complaining to DH that I wasn't having any...

I've only had a few that I could feel...but Im 37wk 5d so its possible they are still pretty hard to spot. I wouldn't worry about it...Im sure your body is gearing up just as it should.

I never really noticed them with my first pregnancy, although on my due date I had a non stress test which was picking them up. In fact I never had many signs of labor at all before I actually went into labor at 40w... hope it is soon for you, hang in there!!!

2nd preg=different story, I have been feeling them practically from the beginning!

I never had them, with any of my (3) labors. NSTs never picked up any either.
