So beautiful, mama! Congratulations. You did great.

Your birth particularly resonates with me, b/c I have been facing similar decisions/complications (not high bp, different situation) over the same time period, and soon probably facing an induced hospital birth, when I'd imagined things differently before. I am so happy for you, your LO is lovely and SO happy that you are both basically healthy and recovering. Pre-e is SO scary. I am so glad you are well. Plus, sounds like you did GREAT with the induction. I am worried about that, and ending up with 2 days of labor and then csection after all, so I am cheered to hear that you made it through like a champ! Well done! Soon enough your lovely daughter will be home with you. My best to you both, thinking of you mama

Congratulations!!!!!!
My first was born at 33 weeks weighing 5 lbs 6 oz and got to come home after 9 days in the NICU. Its hard not having them home right away, but before you know it, you'll have your beautiful little girl.
How awesome that you got to spend some time with her first, though!

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers mamas! We haven't been able to hold her since she's been in the NICU and I'm not able to nurse her right now due to her breathing (she might aspirate) but am able to get enough colustrum with the hospital pump now to give her a little through her feeding tube. Her blood sugar is stable so we're just waiting on her breathing to improve. She's getting plenty of oxygen on her own but she's grunting so that's the main issue right now that we're waiting on to improve. Oh her daddy went down to the NICU to pick up some bottles for me to pump into and got to change her first poopy diaper while visiting. He was beaming with pride when he came back.

When our little ones were in the NICU, we could not hold them for at least a day (and then only in little bundles with all sorts of wires coming out the end), and I could not nurse for several days (possibly a week or more), but pumped around the clock and made sure they got every tiny drop... we went on to have a great 25-month nursing relationship, without any problems! Everything will be great!
