Problem with Everyday Minerals blush as a lip color

I ordered a bunch of EM stuff and they sent me an extra blush for free. It's Salon Fun, and not a color I'd wear as blush but it makes a beautiful lip color. I dipped my lip balm in it and wore it for two days. My lips got really itchy, dry, started cracking and feel like they're on fire! I don't have a new lip balm or anything, the blush is the only thing different. Obviously I haven't worn it again, but my lips still burn and are really dry. I'm slathering on the lip balm and shea butter all day long. It's so bizarre to me. The blush gets a 3 at Skin Deep, while my other stuff only gets a 1. I ordered a gloss from them too, which I'm not overly impressed with. It has titanium dioxide that rates a 1 and the titanium dioxide in the blush rates a 6. Anyone know why that would be? That's the only thing I can think of that may cause the irritation. Has anyone else had that happen before?

It might just be too drying, since it's intended to go on cheeks rather than lips.

That could be. They say the cheek colors work wonderfully for lip color as well, but perhaps not for everyone.

The EM gloss dried my lips out horribly. I've never tried their blush or eye colors, but their foundation was fine for me. I use SunCat now though.

Does that one have any ultramarines? They say not to use the blushes w/ ultramarines on the lips.

I love EDM makeup, and Salon Fun is one of my favorite blushes! Would you be interested in selling or swapping it?
