I wonder if anyone here would consider bringing in a photography for baby pictures. I think I have a talent in photogrpahy and I'm leaning into making babies my specialty. However, without having a studio set up... I have three questions for all of you mamas...

1. Has anyone ever done this, i.e. invited a photographer home for baby pictures? How much did you pay? Did you like the results?

2. I wonder if any mamas would invite a photographer in their house to do baby pictures. If you've never done it, would you do it?

3. Anyone has any suggestions on how to market something like this?

The following link is my neighbor's photography business. She has two young children and runs this business herself. SHe's the photographer. She photographs beautiful photos of maternity, babies, family etc.

One of my clients, fullofgracephotography.com, has a mobile studio and can either set it up for portraits anywhere, or use the surroundings (like a park) as a back drop.

With my first we had a photographer specialized in newborn and maternity come to the house when he was 2 weeks old. She brought her studio with her, backdrops and props. We loved the experience so much she came again when he was 3 months old.

This time I'm having a photographer come when this one will be 2 weeks old, and she's going to do the same thing, bring her studio with her along with shooting casually around our apartment. I find it fairly common for photographers who specialize in babies to come to the home, it's the most comfortable place for the babies to be and new/recovering moms! Good Luck!
