Ok, so I broke the rules...now what?

I'm soooo embarrassed...

I was feeling SOOO good and thought I could jump the gun... did the deed a few days ago... My bleeding had stopped but now its returned. Its very light and I'm just using liners...but its red and I've seen a few small clots.

I didn't have any tears, no stitches...

So should I worry? I feel so stupid!

I don't think so....it happened to me when we dtd the first time and I did have tears and stitches. It'll taper off.

No, I think you're ok. Sometimes if you're not totally healed in your womb you'll start bleeding again... but it should go away. If you don't want that to happen again, just use a condom until you're totally healed.

it could have been totally random too. i'm in week five and still haven't tapered off completely, i'll go 4 days w/ nothing and then see pink tinged tp.

But why would a condom make dif?

If you're still bleeding there's still a chance of (serious) infection getting all up in there. Condoms would reduce that risk.

(That said, your body is likely very much used to your partners bacteria as well).

Anyway, that's my understanding of why condoms are rec'd. I may be incorrect and I definitely also broke the 'rules' with DS and did not use condoms either.

I think I'll hold off for my remaining 2 weeks...I didn't tell dh bc I don't want to get the "I told you so!!"

Well, my midwife gave me the go ahead to DTD at 3 weeks (IF I'm comfortable doing so). She just said to make sure we lube up, for my comfort for me. She said to expect a bit of bleeding, and as long as nothing HUGE is coming out and it tapers off within a day, it's not a big deal.
We'll see what happens.... I don't know if I'll be ready at 3 weeks...

Well Same for me goes a few days i bleed then nothing. . . not just from DTD just seems to come and go

I make dp pull out....one body fluid collecting on a pad is enough for me.

Oh wow! I can't believe some of you out there are DTD already? I don't think that I will ever be ready.
