Have you used castor oil to try to get things going? - Page 3

My DH is skiddish enough, you know with the "there's a baby in there" thing. I can not even imagine DTD and something "happening"! :

I think he would never touch me again!

I took some today too to help move things along. HOLY CR*P is all I can say. I am having ctx and still bloody show too, ctx are not in a real pattern though. Going outside to play with DH and DD and see if gravity helps!

eta: I will probably never eat ice cream again since my MW had me take the CO in a milkshake. Easier to lose the post baby weight, if the baby ever comes!

FWIW, I am now personally acquainted with the notion of it "raining poo." I think I'm going to have to send dh out for gatorade.

I'd been thinking- "oh this isn't so bad, only 2 trips so far." And then I got out of bed, had lunch and moved around.

I am having ctx about 5 mins apart.

Took it with last pregnancy and it did not start labor for me. (I clearly wasn't ready yet with her)

This time, I *tried* to take it, but litterly I chuged as much as I could with one breath and promptly threw it back up as soon as I took a breath. The taste isn't too bad, it's the AFTER TASTE OMG yuck yuck yuck.

FWIW, my mw recomends mixing it with egg - preferably with raw egg in a drink (like oj or a milk shake) or using it to cook scrambled eggs. She says it works best that way. yuck.

I opened my bottle of it to see what all the 'tastes like chapstick' buzz was about. Dang! That stuff is THICK! I don't know that I COULD drink it, if I wanted to. Crazy.

Do you think any other laxative type thing would work the same way? I have been severely constipated the last couple days and debated taking Senakot (which is a mild stimulant with loosener in it that I took at the beginning of pg), but should I be on the ready for it to possibly send me into labour?

Ok I'm going to get some and try it Friday, maybe it and the full moon will work in my favor. DH said if we were going to DTD that day it would have to be before the castor oil I figure it will be my last shot before my c/s on Tues

njbeachgirl- I see you had your baby after the castor oil!! :
