What is everyone's schedules like for this weekend? We are hoping to have Isaac's birthday on Saturday afternoon/evening from about 2ish-whenever. How is this time for everyone?

Nope. Wish we would be able to go to the park tomorrow, but we are still down to 1 car. Jon had a bunch of teaching observations at work this week, so he hasn't had time to fix the truck. I am hoping I'll have my car back by the end of next week, but we'll see what happens with the truck.....

That sucks! We've been thinking of eventually going down to 1 car. We are looking for more ways to save money. I might even have a job interview next week.

that stinks! if I would have known I'd offer you guys a ride (if chrystie was up to it) but I'm going to guess you're sleeping in instead!

One car isn't too bad chrystie, but it can be challenging when all the fun stuff is during the day.

Nicole, sorry i wont be able to make this saturday. My husbands friend is coming from out of town and my parents are coming out to visit Sarabeth. We'll have to get together next week for a play date.

Hey mamas..

I was so hoping to make it to the park on Thurs since I haven't been able to make it to any get togethers lately, but it just didn't work out. Believe it or not, once the kids are in school it's actually harder for me to meet. (unless anyone wants to meet at 8:15am ) I will try to be there on Mon, but it just depends on how I feel after a busy weekend. Most Mondays I come home after dropping off the kids & then stay home until pick up time.

Chrystie, I read your blogs about your trip to Oregon, I'm so jealous of their backyard, too. It's beautiful there!! Good luck with the interview next week, let us know how it goes.

Marga, Glad you had such a fun time! Did Sarabeth already turn 2?

Tuesday: 10am todo Santos park farmers market & meet up with homeschoolers group!

4PM punch & Judy puppets @ Brentwood Library & play @ park after!

Wednesday: 9am 1st five.
4PM short attention span circus @ oakley Library!

Thursday: 10am concord Library AP families park day.

I may be @ a homeschool co-op instead.

7PM pleasant hill Library storytime!

Friday: 10am la leche league @ Kaiser deer valley

Saturday: 9am marsh creek clean up

12PM grand opening @ party city in century plaza. Batman will be there for pictures.

How is everyone doing? Andrea i'm so glad to hear from you again!
Haha once again i hate not having a permanet computer at home It makes it so hard to keep in touch! Everything is good on our side! Sarabeth just moved into a twin bed this past week and is doing okay... she has a harder time going to sleep but it gives her more freedom to wake up and play when she wants... i don't know if that is such a good thing for me haha! That means i have to wake up ealier! anyways:
My weekend was SO busy! Curtis had an out of town guest and her son at our house, then my friends asked me to babysit Kayden... any one remember lil kayden? Hes doing so good now, hes over the colic and just a joy to be around hes starting to learn to "talk to himself" its so cute! Then my mom got into an accident this weekend and was bucked off her horse and hurt her ankle really bad, so she came over for some dinner and for me to look at her ankel and make sure it didn't break and for some "counceling" about selling her horse or not, which i think she should. Anyways my rambling must end... i have to get to work, my first relaxing day hahah!
Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, Nicole how was the Birthday party? I hope everyone had fun!

i'm in antioch. i'm actually good friends with phoenix and chrystie. and just met nicole at turner's birthday party. sadly i miss out on a lot of the get togethers because i work during the day (a very sucky down fall to being a single mother) i have a 2 year old dd...she's just one day older then phoenix's (*mama moose*) daughter.

Yay! Hi Shauna! I posted some evening events in Chrystie's plans post! Sorry we didn't make it out today. I wanted to keep a close eye on Turner's breathing! Not retracting tonight so far so we will most likely be out & about tomorrow.

Andrea, I know that backyard in Oregon made me super jelous! But I ended up driving through that new development in oakley & I could just as easily live there! Is that where you live, marga?

Friday is our la leche league meeting. This is me doing the officially a leader happy dance!! I have a job interview thursday so I won't know what to plan until after that! Keep you posted!

Hi Everyone!
I haven't posted for awhile, so I just had to say Hi! Hope everyone is doing well! We are still down to 1 car, possibly until the end of the month. Jon has the part he needs being made, but we may have to wait until he gets paid before he can go pick it up and fix it; so I am not sure if I'll be able to meet up for a while. Hopefully it will work out sooner, because I am getting totally stir-crazy, LOL!

Nicole, we can always come to you one of these evenings! Just tell me when, I'm usually free LOL. Except you have to hide that hummus far far far away because I finally figured out what bugs her at your BBQs, because shes reacted to some spices this week, and they are all made from peppers, which I guess isn't a surprise since shes allergic to jalapeno and tomato So hide it because I was TOTALLY addicted!!

I'm feeling a little down in the dumps with the allergy stuff again, so we'll be kinda staying in this week as far as events go.....we're also SUPER broke right now so that plays into it....in October though, watch out we have lots of plans for October stuff!!

I'm glad you joined the thread Shawna! : A lot of the "scheduled stuff" is during the day but Chrystie and Nicole and I (and Marga came once too!) do stuff in the evenings a lot too, I know its easier for me without a car too....

Nicole, I just wanted to let you know that since my 2 older kids are now back to school I have more room in my van. I would be more than happy to pick you guys up for any of the get togethers that I'm able to make it to. As long as you were able to get a good tight fit with the carseats in my van, because I've never been able to with our carseats. (dh always does it) Phoenix, the same offer goes to you, too. We have a spare infant seat that my dh could install so we would only have to worry about installing August's carseat.

Hey Chrystie what neighborhood were you driving in? I live in Summer Lakes, its a nice development but the misquitoes are so bad right now!!! ACK! Anyways, i wont be able to meet up for anything this week because i caught a horrible cold. I feel so yucky. I hope everyone has a great week, and hopefully we can meet up next week.

oakland zoo

anyone want to get together for an oakland zoo trip? chrystie and phoenix i know you guys have a membership as do i and i believe with my membership i can get a few kids in free..... saturdays are best for me or if anyone wants to do a sunday i could go right after church which is over at 12:30.

anyone interested? (also carpooling is always an option. i have 2 free seats in my car.)
