Lol. Brodie LOVES treasure hunting. The hard part would be getting him to give back what he found!

LOL! Well i can always find something interesting to trade with for the "treasures" he finds! I hope everyone has a great weekend. I just found out that i have a horrible infection (non contagious). I'm so tired though. Can anything else go wrong?
Oh well! Hopefully i'll see everyone next week!

Lol. Trading might work!

Hope we see you next week & you are feeling better soon!

Phoenix, hope your hubby had a great & lucky birthday!

Sorry I can't make it to the BBQ today, Liberty is dealing with some serious food allergies and I'd just rather not be around food-related events, its a bit depressing, as lame as that sounds. Plus my ILs were here alll week and I need a day to ourselves after a very very draining week
Monday we're going to storytime at the Concord Lib. though, if thats still going on (chrystie?). Is LLL seriously already here again? where is the time going?!
Anyways, hopefully next week I'll feel more up to doing stuff, sorry guys!
my DH has to work a lot this week since the new costco is opening on Wednesday, so I can't make it to park day Thursday because I don't have a ride there
geez, sorry my post was such a downer!

Yup still on for concord Library Monday @ 7PM. They are having a puppet show!

Are we taking bus together for LLL on Friday?

Sorry about food allergies! & about no ride. You know I would drive you if we had room! I know what it is like to be without a car! *hugs*

Ill call you later!

Once again, thanks a ton for having us all over, Nicole. I had a lot of fun & so did my DH and kids. Chrystie, do you like peanuts? I totally forgot that I had brought the peanuts seperately in a baggie to add once I got there. (they get soft after sitting in the rice for awhile and I like my peanuts crunchy ) I loooove peanuts and can't believe I forgot all about them. Anyway, I will get you the recipe when I have more time. Oh, and don't forget to wind your refrigerator tonight

Here's that video I was telling you guys about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDoyT8EUNug

I'm free. How about the Antioch city park? That way maybe Phoenix can make it if she feels up to it. BTW, how are you doing. Phoenix? I hope you had a relaxing weekend afer such a long tiring week. I'm glad you were able to make it after all on Sat.

I could meet as early as 9:30.

Marga, hope you're feeling better, too.

Thanks so much to everyone who came on Saturday! We haven't had that much fun in a long time! We'll have to have everyone over again soon! Isaac's birthday is coming up in September, so we'll probably be having a party for him; I'll have to check with you all as it gets closer to see when you are available.
And anytime anyone wants to come over and let the kiddos play or go swimming, you are always welcome!

We missed you Marga, hope you are feeling better! It sounds like you had a stressful week last week, too, with the Grandma stuff. I dread they day I have to go find all my grandparents treasures! They save EVERYTHING!

Wednesday is good for us to meet up. Where are the parks in Antioch you guys are thinking of?

Does anyone know when the local venues have "free days" or discount days besides the exploratorium? Or how long the summer movies in the morning go? Or any restauraunts with free or cheap kids meals certain days? I would think they would be on commercials, but we don't get network tv yet; and I am trying to make up a list so that I can stretch our cash a little, but still have fun and get to eat out at restauraunts occasionally.
Also, I saw something online for a place called super frank's. Has anyone been there and was there stuff for the little ones to do?

Nicole

I'll try to come on wednesday but like I said before I haven't had much motivation to get out of the house lately Plus it has been soooo hot out...
but I really will try, I know August could really use some playtime.
Thanks for having us over Nicole, it was really fun, Sean said he had a really good time too, and you KNOW August did Was the homeschooling thing good? Did anyone talk about unschooling?
The SF zoo is free the first wednesday of the month, I think we might try to go in sept.
andrea- thanks for asking about me Seriously today has kinda sucked even though Liberty is getting a TON better, I called Mason to talk on Friday and she said she'd call me when she could dedicate some time to listen to me and have a good talk.....and its now monday at 10pm and still no call. Which is really unlike her in my experience, but still sucky to feel forgotten. And then about an hour after I was talking to Sean about that he was talking about something to do with my birthday (in March) and got the wrong day! And even when I told him he was mistaken he picked a different wrong day! ugh! So, totally petty stuff, but I get a touch of depression after having babies it seems so those two things made for not a great day. So, long story short it was nice to come on here and see that someone was thinking about me!

Awww, Phoenix, I'm so sorry you had a bad day yesterday I told my DH about what your DH did and he said that sometimes he has a hard time keeping track of dates, etc.. Geez, men! I would have been upset too if my Dh did that. I hope Mason has called you by now, I'm sure it would help you to talk to her about what you're going through and how you're feeling. Maybe she was at a long birth over the weekend and it slipped her mind. I know, still not an excuse, and you have every right to be upset about it. I had PPD after #3 (& a little bit after #4 too) It really sucked, so I totally feel for you right now I wish there was something I could do to help you, but just know, things WILL get better I'm glad to hear Liberty is doing better!!

Nicole, it's the Antioch city park on the corner of A st & W 10th st. If you need directions, let me know.

Chrystie, all these activities you keep mentioning sound like so much fun, but unfortunately they are when my 2 youngest are going to bed & they would both be complete fuss pots

I'll be at the park tomorrow between 9:30 and 10:00.

argh! I feel so dumb! I called a naturopath about Libby and we're supposed to have a phone chat tomorrow at 11! somehow I managed to not put it together that when she said wednesday that meant tomorrow
So I guess I can't go which stinks because August is seriously suffering from lack of play over here I just don't think I'd make it back in time walking, even if I left at 10:30...

Hey mamas!
Phoenix, I'm sorry about how you are feeling! I had PPD really really bad after Sarabeth was born. I don't think I left our bedroom for weeks. I totally feel for you! I wish you could make it tomorrow. I am also free on friday if you want to meet up again.
Have a good day mamas!
