I post a pic on my facebook of myself breastfeeding my baby. I put it with a caption that read "There, now you wont be shocked to see me do this IRL" I kinda feel nervous about it but i dont want my firends to be shocked if i do it in front of them.

Seriously, me too! This may sound weird, but I look up breastfeeding videos on Youtube all the time and cry almost every time. So I think posting your picture is great!

Facebook has been known to remove breastfeeding pictures - but I think they have stopped since the group "Hey, Facebook, breastfeeding is not obscene!(Official petition to Facebook) " was started and has hundreds of bfing pictures posted. You may enjoy looking at it!

I really hope they have stopped doing that. I reported a violation over a month ago for a page that had a blatant racist slur on it and that has yet to be taken down. Since when is breastfeeding obsene but racism isn't???!!

Good for you on your picture!!

It was a little deal about a year ago, I was interviewed on a couple of radio stations and in a few newspaper articles(all Canadian, of course). I was very excited. I guess it was my 15 minutes of fame. Ha!

Thanks for joining!

I posted a nursing picture on myspace a week ago it is still up, but they did take a picture from my home birth down.
I'm not exactly sure why.
It was my babe covered in all the normal birth goo, She was naked, maybe that was it? Oh well, I guess no one likes nakie babies.

I've been a member of the group for a while, and just posted a picture this week. Last night some member posted a very vulgar and sexual comment on the picture. I was appalled, and deleted the comment.
